Trusted teacher: Do you wish to learn writing music from scratch or improve your composition skills without a necessity of music theory knowledge? Do you want to produce your own music but struggle with the technical aspects? I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and performer and I offer applied classes on writing/arranging/producing pieces of music using various instruments of your choice, including your computer. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. During our practices, I will naturally be transferring my knowledge on certain aspects such as: - Rhythm - Form - Dynamics - Texture - Melody making - Singing - Guitar playing - Placing words into music/making music around words - Improvisation as a compositional tool - Integration of Ableton Live into creative process - Recording - Mixing During the sessions, we'll either write together from scratch or work on your own material and tackle the issues of constructing a piece of music. Please contact me if interested, then we will have a first video call where we get to meet each other and discuss where you stand and your wishes. This way I can create a personalised program that suits your level and speaks to your area of interest.

Bo - Alt-Treptow£30
Trusted teacher: Music is one of the cornerstones of a healthy and happy life and it would be my pleasure to help guide you through part of your musical journey. I teach all skill levels and ambitions, whether you want to play bass a hobby, set up a band with friends or want to prepare for a conservatory audition, I can help you. In my teaching I try to give you the best foundational skills to achieve your musical goals. This means a high level of customization is possible if you have an idea of what direction you want to head down, but I will of course guide you on the way as well. As a bassist my strong suits are Rock, Pop, RnB and Neo Soul but through the years I have recorded and played live shows in a host of different genres (Jazz, Fusion, Reggae, Ska, Hard rock etc) so my teaching is by all means not contained to a few genres, I believe having a good overview over different kinds of music is very important. I am originally from Rotterdam, the Netherlands and have been playing bass since I was 13 years old. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Electric Bass from BIMM Berlin and have studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston (Summer 2018( and Holland College in Canada (2019-2020). As a session bassist in Berlin I have recorded in many great studios with Grammy award winning and nominated producers and engineers. Apart from this I play for multiple artists and have played shows in venues such as Festsaal Kreuzberg, Columbiatheater, Lido, Badehaus, Maschinenhaus, Kantine Am Berghain, Privatclub and many more. Next to this I teach students both in person and online and occasionally work at a music venue, basically I do anything to always be in a musical environment! I can't wait to get started with helping you achieve your musical goals!

You'll pick up the skills, confidence, and creative freedom to develop your own style. I offer pro training in a relaxed, hands-on environment, with lessons tailored to your pace and sound. 15 years pro DJ, producer, live performer, and the founder of DJ School Berlin. Passionate about sonic experiences above all else, it's behind the decks and my machines that I get my kicks the most, and I love to share my passion with others! I have my own style of music, but would be more than happy to adapt to yours for learning purposes. I perform regularly in Berlin in clubs such as Watergate, Sisyphos, Hoppetosse, RSO, Golden Gate, etc., as well as abroad, most recently in Belgrade, London, Amsterdam, Paris, etc. --- Courses are available in English or French Sessions usually last 2 hours and can take place face-to-face or online, solo or in a group. . Group sessions are friendly, less expensive, and more dynamic in terms of learning. Observing another student practicing, discussing techniques, or receiving feedback often leads to valuable insights. . One-on-one lessons are ideal if you prefer a personalized and efficient approach, fully adapted to your pace and goals. I'll give you the keys to: - Master the fundamentals of DJing on CDJs or vinyl - Develop your own sound and mixing style - Configure and fine-tune your DJ software (Rekordbox, Traktor) - Perfect beatmatching, phrasing, and harmonic mixing - Create smooth transitions and dynamic cuts for engaging sets - Understand track selection and crowd reading to build energy - Discover new music (digging) and organize your library efficiently - Prepare your sets and tracklists for gigs or recordings - Learn to record, edit, and share your mixes and podcasts - Understand sound systems and performance setups for live events I'll also accompany you and advise you on the purchase of your equipment. Classes take place either at the DJ School Berlin studio in Kreuzberg, equipped with 2 CDJs, 2 vinyl decks, a professional mixer, and a full sound system, or online with a new technic I developed for a immersive learning experience. Sessions are followed by review sheets and homework assignments. They are a mix of theory and practice, covering not just technical skills but also the artistic and performance aspects of DJing, with plenty of pro tips and creative insights to help you build your identity as a DJ. Don't hesitate to contact me for more information, I can send you a detailed document explaining all aspects of the training, the techniques covered, as well as the essential theoretical knowledge. You'll develop a complete understanding of the material, learn how to tell your musical story, create, record, finish, export and share your work. I am looking forward to playing music with you.
