Trusted teacher: Hello, I offer one-to-one private tuition to university students and adults in Political Science, Essay/Dissertation-writing, Political Economy, Economics, and European Studies. I have 15 years of experience in high-quality private tuition, and I am also a Lecturer in EU Politics at one of the world’s leading universities (University College London). My main areas of specialization are European Union politics and political economy, but I also regularly teach all other areas of Political Science, including Public Policy, Comparative Politics, Introduction to Politics, Populism, Democratisation, and many more. In addition, I teach Economics at a beginner/intermediate level. I can also help with dissertations and essays, at the undergraduate, Master or Ph.D. level. As I supervise and mark UCL students ' dissertations throughout the year, I am able to give you the marker's perspective and help you ensure that you obtain a top mark. In addition, I am experienced in helping adult learners who want to improve their skills in Political Science or basic Economics, for professional or personal reasons. Teaching is an activity that I deeply enjoy, and for which I have great enthusiasm. I was recently nominated for the Award for Outstanding Teaching by the UCL Students' Union. The feedback which I received from students taught in the past was very positive. In particular, I was told that my teaching had inspired students, and had made complex subjects appear simple and interesting. My approach to teaching is results-focused. I first discuss with the student what are his/her objectives (this may be achieving top marks on a final exam, being able to undertake exercises given as homework, or increasing their understanding of certain aspects of a subject). We then devise together a work plan, to ensure that the student meets those goals. This approach has been very successful in the past, as it is not only important to understand a certain subject, but also to be prepared for the particular type of examination or assessment that the student will need to face. I have a Ph.D. in Political Economy from Utrecht University, a master's in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, and a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE). I teach either in person in London (ideally at UCL), or via email exchanges for written advice. Unfortunately I do not offer online classes.

Trusted teacher: I hold a PhD in Mathematics from the School of Mathematical Sciences of Queen Mary University of London and I am an a Qualified Teacher (QTS) in the UK. I have extensive tutoring experience on undergraduate academic tutorials. My area of expertise is applied mathematics, including probability and statistics, R Statistical coding, Python, differentials equations, linear algebra and calculus. I collaborate with some of the top tutoring and education consultant firms in London and I have a proven track record of successfully preparing students for their 11+, 13+, GCSEs and A-Levels in Maths, whether their goal is to enter independent/grammar schools or league table UK universities. I also have extensive experience with the mathematics section of the SAT Reasoning Test (SAT) preparation, required by several international universities in Europe and the US. I work closely with students from Portland Place School London, Kensington Park School, Francis Holland School Regent's Park, City of London School for Girls and Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres as well as Saint Mary Magdalene, William Ellis School and more. I have also helped students gain entrance to top Russel Group UK institutions, such as Queen Mary University of London, London School of Economics, King's College London, University of Edinburgh and more. I am currently a Teaching Associate for King's College London and Queen Mary University of London, teaching Calculus, Mathematical models, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Probability theory and Data science modules. Moreover, I have a long experience in working with students having learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, autism) and I am certified by the Queen Mary Disability and Dyslexia Centre as a Support Worker. I like to believe that I take a friendly approach to teaching and that my students are able to comprehend the subjects we discuss. I am always aiming to identify and cover knowledge gaps in a student's understanding that otherwise keep adding up. Working as an independent private tutor since 2016, I am equipped with patience and a good perception of the student's weaknesses, as well as a broad knowledge of mathematical tools that come in handy in the process of properly explain concepts.

I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catered to the student's specific needs. – Academic lessons tend to be structured around specific sections of the syllabus, or particular topics that students require help with. – I employ a seminar style format. I flesh out ideas with the aid of quotations, other audio-visual resources, and analytical commentary which my students can use to develop essays, essay plans, revision tools, and exam revision packs. – I use Powerpoint to provide students with a variety of resources and visual stimuli. – I structure my lesson plans with a view to providing short points of rest or temporary closure, in which students are able to ask questions about the content. I am also happy for students to interrupt the flow of the lesson if a burning question arises. Lesson Structure – Academic lessons tend to be 45–60 minutes in length, but I can adapt my teaching schedule to provide students with additional support if needed. Academic Credentials – I am studying for a PhD in Music at the University of Cambridge. – I hold an MPhil in Music from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Historical Musicology and Musical Aesthetics. – I have a first-class music degree (74.4%) from the University of Manchester, where I won three Hargreaves Prizes for Academic Achievement. Daniel
My first lesson with Daniel was just what I wanted and more. Daniel made me feel very comfortable and let me play some music I had been working on. Then Daniel looked at all aspects of my playing in a thorough manner and signposted plans for future lessons. I was really wanting my technique to be reviewed thoroughly and Daniel did exactly this, in a very supportive and encouraging manner. It was incredible to hear the change to my playing Daniel helped me make within the hour. Looking forward to the next lesson! Many thanks!
