Private Tutoring Mathematics & Test Prep from a PhD (7+ - 13+, GCSEs, A-Levels, IB, University) Online/At home

I hold a PhD in Mathematics from the School of Mathematical Sciences of Queen Mary University of London and I am an a Qualified Teacher (QTS) in the UK. I have extensive tutoring experience on undergraduate academic tutorials. My area of expertise is applied mathematics, including probability and statistics, R Statistical coding, Python, differentials equations, linear algebra and calculus.

I collaborate with some of the top tutoring and education consultant firms in London and I have a proven track record of successfully preparing students for their 11+, 13+, GCSEs and A-Levels in Maths, whether their goal is to enter independent/grammar schools or league table UK universities. I also have extensive experience with the mathematics section of the SAT Reasoning Test (SAT) preparation, required by several international universities in Europe and the US.

I work closely with students from Portland Place School London, Kensington Park School, Francis Holland School Regent's Park, City of London School for Girls and Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres as well as Saint Mary Magdalene, William Ellis School and more.
I have also helped students gain entrance to top Russel Group UK institutions, such as Queen Mary University of London, London School of Economics, King's College London, University of Edinburgh and more.

I am currently a Teaching Associate for King's College London and Queen Mary University of London, teaching Calculus, Mathematical models, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Probability theory and Data science modules.

Moreover, I have a long experience in working with students having learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, autism) and I am certified by the Queen Mary Disability and Dyslexia Centre as a Support Worker.

I like to believe that I take a friendly approach to teaching and that my students are able to comprehend the subjects we discuss.

I am always aiming to identify and cover knowledge gaps in a student's understanding that otherwise keep adding up. Working as an independent private tutor since 2016, I am equipped with patience and a good perception of the student's weaknesses, as well as a broad knowledge of mathematical tools that come in handy in the process of properly explain concepts.

Mathematics (Learning math for beginners or just improving)
I firmly think that in mathematics, practice leads to perfection; nonetheless, it is crucial to understand the real-life applications of each lesson's worth. Utilising real-life examples would be an ideal method to grasp a lesson. I can not explain exactly how each class goes, because everyone is different and I can adapt to the learning styles.

Mavi
IGCSE, IB MYP, and GCSE courses for all levels Math, Physics and Science
I am Mavi, a physics engineer working at an aerospace company. I have been teaching private lessons at the primary, secondary, high school, and university preparatory levels for 9 years. I teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, and science. I have a good command of the curricula of IB, IGCSE, American, Hong Kong, and international schools. Additionally, I hold the position of president at the Astronomy Society, where I foster my students' interest in astronomy and science beyond the lessons. I prepare the learning environment by incorporating experiments and exploration, moving away from rote education. I often bring experimental materials to class, aiming to make learning memorable through hands-on experiments. As an educational mentor, I approach my students as if they were my siblings, valuing creativity. I have a deep passion for mathematics, physics, and science. I am dedicated to helping students understand and learn because life encompasses both SCIENCE and ART. The more people I can inspire to know, understand, and love mathematics, physics, and chemistry, the more proud I am. Are you curious about how nature works? Let's explore together!

Excellence Math, Physics, Chemistry - 19 average - New program 2024
I am a qualified engineer from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and followed a preparatory class, accumulating more than 10 years of experience as a private mathematics teacher. My goal is to help your child reach their full academic potential in mathematics and develop skills that will prepare them for a bright future. Why choose my courses? Would you like your child to: Significantly improve your results in mathematics/physics-chemistry? Join a selective curriculum? Become independent and confident in your abilities? Over the last 5 years, I have had the privilege of supporting more than 30 French students, from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) to high school (second, first, terminale), towards academic success. My students obtained good averages, passed the certificate, the baccalaureate and the preparatory classes, while strengthening their self-confidence. My teaching method in 3 steps: Short term: Immediate improvement in average by assimilating the course and preparing for assessments. This includes assimilating the course, taking notes, practicing standard exercises, anticipating teachers' expectations and test questions, as well as acquiring writing methods. Medium term: Integration of reasoning and working methods. Your child will learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercises, preparation for assessments and analysis of results. Long term: Establishing clear goals, building the steps to achieve them, realizing the SIMPLICITY of mathematics, building confidence in your abilities and unlocking your child's potential. Details of the formula: One to two sessions of 1h30/2h per week to assimilate the course and prepare for the evaluations. Classes delivered via Google Meet for effective online learning. Use of a virtual whiteboard to facilitate the assimilation of concepts. Access to an online library including 10 mathematics reference books. Over 1000 online exercises to strengthen math skills. Oliver
Every child is a math genius | British tutor
When I was a young child, I believed I was not a mathematical person. It wasn't until I met an amazing teacher at age 15 that I discovered my mathematical genius and my life was changed forever. I'm eternally grateful to that teacher. My teacher knew that self-image and self-belief is the key to unlocking your child's mathematical abilities. Everyone is good at maths, but we all have different styles of thinking. Bad teachers teach every child the same way. My job is to find your child's style of mathematics and allow him to discover that for himself. When he discovers that, he will begin to enjoy the beauty and power of mathematics...and then you will see as the grades begin to soar. 👉Click the blue "Contact Oliver" button above and let's discuss how we can unlock your child's mathematical talents! 😊

* At the moment, I only teach online. For this purpose, I use my pen tablet and I share my virtual whiteboard. Therefore, students can see me and also what I am writing, at the same time. My name is Eli and I am here to help you in math. If you are looking for a person, who can explain math problems in the simplest possible way or who can help you with your homework, do not hesitate to contact me! As a teacher, I have more than 8 years' experience and I give lessons of math, calculus, algebra, matrices and geometry. Before each session, I prepare appropriate materials, like theory, examples and exercises and we will work on them together, during our session. In my classes, you can ask any questions that you have and we do not finish the class before making everything clear! I have a Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from Aalto University. In addition to teaching, I continue my career in an R&D position where I use my mathematical knowledge every single day. Therefore, I see the importance of learning math. I look forward to meeting you!

Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). SCIENCE IN EASY AND UNDERSTANDING WAY.
Science is vital for understanding and improving the world we live in. A good science education will excite the imagination and inspire, develop valuable skills for life and work, and enable people to make informed choices and help shape the future. Physics helps us to organize the universe. It deals with fundamentals, and helps us to see the connections between seemly disparate phenomena. Physics gives us powerful tools to help us to express our creativity, to see the world in new ways and then to change it. Physics is useful.
