You constantly watch chess videos on the Internet which are entertaining but it is too passive an activity which does not really make you study chess in depth. Then, you will play online games at too fast a pace while you do not master the main general principles. You thus develop bad reflexes because you constantly repeat the same mistakes without even realizing it, which causes your level to quickly stagnate. Then, you make a game report which tells you that you played with 80% accuracy but nevertheless you lost and you do not necessarily understand the main reasons. And finally, you watch the game with an analysis module which offers you good moves but does not provide you with the explanations necessary to fully understand them. Some teachers also offer group lessons with a monthly subscription which can help you progress slightly, but what you need is a truly personalized lesson. I had my first class with Dmytro and I really enjoyed it. He takes his classes very seriously (he was very punctual, he had indicated to me in advance the apps/tools needed for the class, he was asking if I have questions, he replied very quickly to my messages before the class...). Also, he was very patient with me (I have a low level in chess...). I liked a lot that he was not just explaining "book" theory of chess, but also the practical tricks. I've had 2 lessons with Prashil and they have been incredibly interesting. He explained all the pieces and the board in a concise and comprehensible manner. He has a great sense of humour which adds well to his teaching methods as well as making it more fun. We even lost track of time at one point because we were both so concentrated on the game.
