Trusted teacher: My goal as a music teacher is to make the students able to experience all types of emotions by playing music, understanding the musical process from its roots with a creative approach. My lessons are designed according to the specific needs of each student and the main objective is to guide them in the optimal direction to achieve their full potential in a fun way. Thereby, the instrument becomes a tool to understand what making music really means and will be a way for the student to express his emotions. My approach to the lessons can provide a lot of creativity, fun and originality. How will my lessons look like From the first lesson, the student will start making music. We will begin learning the basic concepts of music, developing listening and rhythmic skills with fun exercises. Lessons will also be focused on learning the basics of music theory, creating a solid technical base and paying special attention to having a relaxed and healthy body posture. My academic and professional experience has helped me create a teaching method where improvisation is an essential tool for the student. I enjoy working on it from the beginning since it is a perfect way to develop musicality. Playing different music genres together As a musician, another of my sources of inspiration is to get to know and to learn from different styles, playing and experimenting with music from the classical period until the most avant-garde style. During the lessons, we will play pop, jazz, classical and many other styles. I would like to explore the instrument with the student in a fun way, growing, improving, and discovering new ways of making music together. During the lessons the students and I could play together, either playing some duos with the cello or accompanying them with the piano, which is an activity that I really enjoy. Playing together with more people and with a polyphonic instrument from the beginning will give the student clues to learn how to play in ensembles and listen to all the different voices that can be part of any musical composition.

You can play any genre and alone or in huge groups, only your imagination can set the limits. As a cello teacher, my mission with my cello school is to create an interest in my students and give the knowledge of learning how to learn. I want every student that has a lesson with me get the value of learning and create lifelong interest for the cello. The cellist life is filled with community, friendship, history Not only the skill to play but the interest to do so through the whole life. The skills you learn with your instrument is also transparent to other parts of your life. Nobody ever said I regret that I learned to play the cello. In the cello lessons we learn: Study techniques: How to learn and practice Goals: How to set goals and reach them Memorizing: how to train the ability to memorise Expression: How to express our feelings and tell stories Stage performance: How to meet an audience (without stage anxiety ) how to perform our best at any given moment Self-esteem and self-confidence: How to build up and discover who we are and what we can do As a cellist, we need abilities as craftsmen, human and an artist. I have been playing the cello for almost two decades and I can tell you it is a beautiful and rewarding journey, and I would not be where I am today without a group of extraordinary teachers and mentors that have been with me along the way and shared their wisdom and experience with me. Now it is my turn to share. I have been teaching for a few years and I love watching my students develop, enjoy the cello, learn new things, and become better at expressing themselves in the universal language of music. Whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate/advanced level player, I would be happy to offer my guidance and perspective on anything you want to work on and improve. Aside from the technical part of the playing process, I can also be helpful in talking about performance anxiety, specifics of the music major education, preparation for auditions, building up your social media, etc. Contact me to set a lesson using the form below and I look forward to meeting you! Studio Policy This policy is in place to protect the student, the parent of the student, and the teacher and serves to ensure that lessons run smoothly. Lessons/Payment: Students may enroll in lessons at any time. Lessons will take place at the teacher’s studio in Vienna, Austria. Online lessons are facilitated using Skype/Facetime/Zoom. Tuition is paid monthly and is calculated by multiplying the lesson rate by 4 weeks (3 or 5 weeks for certain months). Additional lessons are allowed based on the teacher’s availability. If I am traveling for a big portion of the month, I will let you know in advance, so that the tuition for that month is multiplied by the number of weeks I will be at home. Single lessons in the form of a consultation or master class are available if you are not ready to commit to a monthly package. If you have special circumstances that prevent you from taking weekly lessons or traveling to my studio, please contact me directly and I will do my best to accommodate your situation. Tuition is to be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the first lesson of each month. Tuition is payable through Apprentus. For the consultation/single lesson, a one-time lesson fee is to be paid at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. Your timely payment serves as a confirmation of our time agreement. If I do not hear from you nor get the payment at least 24 hours before the lesson, I reserve the right to reschedule and/or cancel the scheduled lesson. Tardiness: The student will contact the teacher by phone if they expect to be late for a scheduled lesson. If a student arrives after their scheduled lesson time has begun, the teacher will complete the lesson in the remaining portion of the time slot. Additional time for student tardiness is not guaranteed. If the teacher arrives after a scheduled lesson has begun, the teacher will give additional time past the time slot to compensate for their tardiness with mutual acceptance of the student’s schedule. Rescheduling/Cancellations: Students must cancel/reschedule lessons by phone or email with at least 24-hour notice. Cancellations are considered excused for illness, family emergency, or severe weather (public school closures). Excused cancellations with sufficient notification will be given a make-up lesson within the month or lesson credit towards the following month. No-shows, cancellations without sufficient notification, or unexcused cancellations will not be given make-up lessons or lesson credits. The teacher may need to cancel a lesson due to illness or a family emergency and/or reschedule due to performance engagements or planned vacations. In this case, the teacher will provide a make-up lesson within the month or apply a lesson credit towards the following month. If desired, the make-up lesson can also be taken online via Skype. If a student cancels a re-scheduled make-up lesson, the lesson will be considered forfeited. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. If a make-up lesson is not possible, a lesson credit will be applied toward the following month. Copyright/class recordings: Lessons and seminars are considered intellectual property and may not be recorded (audio or video). The teacher is legally protected in case of a breach of this agreement. The teacher is entitled to immediate termination of the lesson/package without a refund if this rule is broken. The teacher is entitled to legal action in case of copyright infringement. Parental Involvement for younger students: I do not teach children below the age of 10 via Skype as they require hands-on work to form correct playing habits and posture. Students 10 years and younger must have a parent or guardian present at the lesson. The parent will take notes and act as the student’s “home teacher”. Parental involvement is welcomed and strongly encouraged for all students, but not required for students 10 years and older.
