Trusted teacher: Dynamic yoga flows adapted to all ages and necessities. From Power-Yoga, to Yin Yoga, Hatha Vinyasa flows, Breath-work and Pranayama, always honoring ourselves! “As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.” Destroy the idea that you have to be perfect at things to enjoy them. Yoga, art, music, writing, dancing, cooking. These are all amazing hobbies that serve our soul and natural human state. We were meant to express ourselves. So sing off key, dance like no one’s watching, give yoga a chance and be ok being a “beginner”, draw badly, burn a few recipes. Because life is meant to be ENJOYED. I’m done chasing perfection, these days it’s all about progress and letting go of all the self-limiting beliefs and ways of living that no longer serve me. From the very beginning, yoga inspired me to be my best version, to evolve and love myself and everyone around as I never did before. Yoga taught me to show up authentically without the need to belong, to choose self-expression over self-denial and embrace who I truly am instead of what others want me to be, life became truly magical, fulfilling, fun and most of all REAL. On our classes I will: ~ Instruct you on how to safely get into poses and how to breathe correctly, teaching also some pranayama techniques. ~ Design yoga class sequences, including vinyasa and flow formats for beginner or advanced students, adapting different flows to your necessity. ~ Demonstrate postures to you and support you also in finding the right poses, helping you to avoid any injuries. ~ Guide you develop your body and mind awareness, as well as physical strength. ~ Show you how to practice yoga on your mat and also outside it. ** I am always striving for progress, not perfection!
Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style in which poses are held for 3-5 five minutes. Even though it’s passive, Yin Yoga can be quite challenging physically, mentally and emotionally due to the long holds, stillness and silence if you rarely practice these things. Physically we are applying moderate stress to the fascia (connective tissue) – getting deep into the muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, organs and systems – with the aim of increasing circulation, flexibility, relaxation, detoxification and releasing stored emotional trauma and tension. Mentally we are practicing sensory withdrawal and concentration which helps to prep you for meditation. Guided Meditation is an active form of meditation where I will talk you through the experience to achieve a mentally clear, emotionally balanced and physically pain free state of being. Active forms of meditation (continuous concentration & engagement of 1 or more of the 5 senses) are a great way to start prepping for passive meditation (complete deactivation of the 5 senses & sitting in stillness and silence). Passive meditation can be challenging, and I can teach that in private yoga sessions if you are interested. Sound Healing is an active form of meditation where I play a crystal sound bowl to create healing vibrations that go through the body and help put you in a deeper meditative state. This can also be great for reducing and managing stress, emotional health, sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, mental health, heart health and more.
