Trusted teacher: Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer ... and with 20 years of teaching experience, I am happy to share my experience and my know-how: both from a technical point of view (musical knowledge, instrumental or vocal technique ...) than from a more global point of view: expressiveness, body awareness, confidence, creativity ... What interests me above all is to guide you towards more relaxation and confidence as well as autonomy with his or her instruments, to accompany his curiosity, to develop his musical sense and give him the means to go towards the music (s) that attract him. I like to work from what touches you: welcome to those who know what pieces they dream of playing, what style they like!!... instrumental technique and music are learned all the better through what we like (starting from learning a piece to learn a rhythm, reading new notes, knowing more about a style of music, the form of music, etc.) VOICE RATING I propose : - singing lessons: whatever the repertoire targeted, become aware of your body and the vocal gesture, through vocal and body games bring more naturalness and at the same time more control with your own voice; - vocal and psycho-bodily coaching: specific training aimed at building confidence with one's own voice and expression; I also support in the preparation of concert or recording: mastery of voice and breath (!), Interpretation, pronunciation, staging; VERSATILITY and CREATIVITY! I support all projects that need a guitar AND a voice: - do you want to sing along? I teach what is missing in guitar, what is missing in vocals and I have a toolbox today full to facilitate the coordination of the two! - do you want to compose, write songs, or do you have texts but not the chords, you have the melodies but not the words? ... Do you feel stuck in some part of the process? I can help you unwind the thread of your creativity, better understand your gestures, your "dough", find new paths etc ...

I am a professional singer with more than 10 years of vocal training and performance experience. I will help you to explore and develop your own voice and give you proper knowledge of your instrument. I am in love with music since my childhood and started learning the piano and violin at the age of 7. Since singing has always been my main passion, I started taking classical singing lessons at the age of 12 and contemporary singing a few years later. After finishing my high school education, I decided to move to London to get a wider perspective, where I started writing and realising my own songs and where I got to play in many venues such as The O2 Islington, 229 Venue, the Blues Kitchen among others with my full band. I also participated in some singing contests, such as Britain Does Variety and Open Mic UK, becoming a Grand Finalist on both shows. All this allowed me to earn stage presence, experience and to improve my skills as a songwriter, performer, bandleader and music arranger. In 2016, I started my education at BIMM, where I graduated from a BETC Diploma on Popular Music Performance (Vocals) and a BMus (Hons) Degree on Popular Music Performance (Vocals). My passion for music and psychology led me to do my final degree dissertation on the link between creativity and mental health, which opened my curiosity about music and vocal therapy, A subject I have been exploring and I like to apply on my lessons. I've been teaching contemporary singing since 2016. I'm passionate about taking care of my students' vocal health. Applying mindfulness and music therapy techniques, as well as contemporary techniques such as The Speech Level Technique, Brett Manning's Singing Success Technique or The complete Vocal Technique that allows me to give them all necessary insight into healthy singing techniques and body and mind awareness. I normally emphasise good technique, interpretation skills and improvisation to give you the tools to find your own sound. In lessons, we will focus on learning and mastering the songs you are interested in and I will plan the lessons according to the needs of each student. I like encouraging students to explore different contemporary genres such as pop, rock, R&B, soul, but also different styles such as jazz, world or classical music. I also offer music theory lessons for the same price, if you are interested in improving your musicianship. I am happy to incorporate a bit of theory (or as much as you like!) in the singing lesson plan.

CROSS-GENRE TEACHING - BECAUSE YOUR VOICE IS AT THE CROSS-GENDER OF ALL MUSIC A cross-genre teaching promotes a generic and exhaustive application of the principles of vocal anatomy, physiology and acoustics, unlike traditional teaching, whose cleavages between the specificities of so-called classical genres - choral, lyrical or operatic singing - and modern - pop, rock, jazz, musicals etc ... limit the field of exploration. Trusted teacher: How to learn to sing? To sing just and well? To answer these complex questions, I was interested in phonatory mechanisms, with speech therapists and phoniatres, I studied singing with a dozen singing teachers, I participated in many Masterclasses and trained myself in different institutions: first at the conservatories of Vaulx-en-Velin and Mâcon, then at the Regional Conservatory of Montpellier, and finally at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne where I am currently studying with Leontina Vaduva. It is first of all through passion that I want to convey what I have learned. This is felt, according to the words of my students, in my way of teaching which reconciles the rigor of art and the pleasure of singing. In my pedagogical approach, I clearly separate the vocal technique and the art of singing, that is to say the management of an objective mechanism, physical and physiological, of sound production (articulation of the language, management of the pressures subglottic and supra-glottic to achieve a pneumo-phono-resonantial balance), and the shaping of this sound to achieve musical beauty (make a beautiful "legato" line, tempo variations, nuances, etc.). ). When I start with a new student, I first make a diagnosis to determine the range of the voice, the level of resonantial passages, and check the health of the larynx (tonicity, endurance, flexibility). The typical course begins with vocal technique exercises and ends with the work of a musical piece. I adapt my course according to the needs of each one (for example, I can start with a Feldenkreis or Alexander technique exercise, relaxation, breath, or a physical warm-up), but also according to the desires and tastes of the student (the technical part will last more or less long). Considering that the stage is important for personal fulfillment and to set goals in music, I propose to my students to participate in the auditions and group lessons of the music school where I work in Lutry.

Denise
Mrs. Denise has demonstrated passion, mastery and, above all, great versatility as a teacher. She has skillfully recaptured the spirit of a Medieval song with imaginative vocal intensity, while discussing in great detail the lyrical content, linguistic nuances, and the historical context of the song, as well as guiding me through the intricacies of the Occitan language with confidence and poise.

Juliana
I just had my first lesson with Juliana. And despite being a little nervous about trying singing (and also convinced that I couldn't sing), I noticed a genuine improvement – even after one hour together. Juliana was very professional, knowledgeable and also encouraging. I highly recommend her.
