My name is Maxime I am 25 years old and I am a professor of song, guitar and singer-songwriter. I offer accompanying acoustic guitar lessons, singing and composition lessons in Pully or Skype. The vocal technique (mixed voice) that I will teach you, will allow you to interpret your favorite songs that you can hear on the radio with ease and fluency and by accompanying you your guitar will entertain and impress your friends in the evenings! My goal will be to reach yours! :) Organic : A trumpet player with the Pully band for many years, I gained my musical experience at the Pully Music School. I was passionate about acoustic guitar at the age of 14 and I trained myself as an autodidact with my already acquired musical knowledge. I'm an ex musical student and i come from a 8 years long training, of all the major branches of the subject. I can give an understanding of the musical score and consequential reading of musical pieces to play, after learning, with flute or keyboard(piano). How to learn to sing? To sing just and well? To answer these complex questions, I was interested in phonatory mechanisms, with speech therapists and phoniatres, I studied singing with a dozen singing teachers, I participated in many Masterclasses and trained myself in different institutions: first at the conservatories of Vaulx-en-Velin and Mâcon, then at the Regional Conservatory of Montpellier, and finally at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne where I am currently studying with Leontina Vaduva. It is first of all through passion that I want to convey what I have learned. This is felt, according to the words of my students, in my way of teaching which reconciles the rigor of art and the pleasure of singing. In my pedagogical approach, I clearly separate the vocal technique and the art of singing, that is to say the management of an objective mechanism, physical and physiological, of sound production (articulation of the language, management of the pressures subglottic and supra-glottic to achieve a pneumo-phono-resonantial balance), and the shaping of this sound to achieve musical beauty (make a beautiful "legato" line, tempo variations, nuances, etc.). ). When I start with a new student, I first make a diagnosis to determine the range of the voice, the level of resonantial passages, and check the health of the larynx (tonicity, endurance, flexibility). The typical course begins with vocal technique exercises and ends with the work of a musical piece. I adapt my course according to the needs of each one (for example, I can start with a Feldenkreis or Alexander technique exercise, relaxation, breath, or a physical warm-up), but also according to the desires and tastes of the student (the technical part will last more or less long). From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
