Born on 11th June 1984 in Northern Iran in a city called Bandar-e-Anzali and raised in an educated family , Faraz started his musical education at the age of 18 at a local music institution as he just attended translation studies B.A course in Rasht Azad University. To achieve more comprehensive skills in violin-viola performance and teaching he later in 2007 continued his learning procedure in Capital Tehran where he first met Dr Setare Beheshti faculty member of University of Tehran, School of Fine Arts. Being under her instructions he got introduced to Suzuki School of Violin and simultaneously started to teach violin to several kids in different cities of province Guilan through Suzuki Method. Since 2007 he has been teaching 40 to 70 students each week planning their music career in orchestras and string ensembles. He has also conducted several student violin recitals and introduced more than 10 students each year through those recitals. In 2009 he enrolled BA course in Iranian music performance at The University of Guilan , school of Architecture and Art and graduated in 2014 . His final thesis was in two part; one was an article about a comparison between the styles of violin playing in Iranian classical music , and the other was performing 4 of his composition and arrangements for a mixed fusion ensemble. At the autumn of 2014 he entered MA course in Ethnomusicology at University of Arts , School of Music, and has been graduated on 2017. In 2012 he and four of his graduated colleagues have founded Guilan Chamber Orchestra mostly from the teenage students which has performed 3 independent concerts in different genres . He arranged two folk and Iranian classical song for the Orchestra performed in 2014. He composed an Album called "The Impression on the Wall" in Iranian Orchestral style published in 2011 and have won the third prize in provincial productions' festival about a year later. In 2010 he composed his first film soundtrack for a fictional documentary movie called " He owns a Factory near the Town". He had been teaching in several private music academies meeting around 60 student a week developing his teaching career every day. He is now studying Master of Music Education at Royal College of Music in London.

As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe. I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano. As a performing musician, I appear as a soloist and chamber musician internationally, recently including at the ‘Gstaad Menuhin’, ‘Schiermonnikoog’ and 'Rome Chamber Music' festivals. I have participated in several international competitions, notably receiving the Barbirolli prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition 2019, 1st prize at the Małopolska competition, and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition. Toby
Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. We are located many time zones away from Toby, and the virtual lessons do not hinder our experience with him. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time.

My first lesson with Daniel was just what I wanted and more. Daniel made me feel very comfortable and let me play some music I had been working on. Then Daniel looked at all aspects of my playing in a thorough manner and signposted plans for future lessons. I was really wanting my technique to be reviewed thoroughly and Daniel did exactly this, in a very supportive and encouraging manner. Zoey is both knowledgeable and skilled in observing what I was doing - and then had right words and actions to show me what I could change - and PRACTICE changing - to improve my sound and overall skills. She focused on fundamental positions of my right hand and the bow position for the first lesson. When we moved into playing a piece that I was working on, she had suggestions that incorporated those fundamentals with the specifics of the piece. I look forward to practicing this week.
