I have both a BA and a Masters in Songwriting that I've completed in London. I am currently working on a brand new alternative project that's had two songs played on BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock and have played sold out shows around London. Hello! My name is Egor, and I am a pianist, composer and music producer. My main activities are teaching piano, composing music and performing at various concerts. I have bachelor’s and master’s degrees by the program of performing on the piano in the music theatres as an academic pianist and an artist. I am a winner of regional and international music competitions. In my classes I teach not only beginners but intermediate and advanced piano players. Even though you are not looking for a professional piano career, learning music is the great possibility to improve your various kinds of skills. You will become more confident in communicating with people, you will be able to meet new people who’s also obsessed with music and art, and furthermore you will be able to create your own pieces and songs. In teaching I combine classical and modern approaches in order to accomplish our mutual goals with a student. It includes the dialectical method of teaching by the very honourable piano teacher and pianist Heinrich Neuhaus. Also, in my lessons I connect teaching piano with psychology so that we are able to achieve the best result. My fortune was to discover the piano because I was the type of a person who always thought that the music world is closed for regular people. And that was the point that I hadn’t taken piano lessons when I used to be a child before I started it only in my 20's. I have been writing songs now for 30 years, including being asked to write lyrics for local charities and for special occasions. Songwriting theory and musical theory and compositions can often take the fun out of lifting and playing music - whether its a guitar, microphone, drum kit! These 1 hour sessions give the customer an opportunity to explore musical styles, rhythms, while personalising a song for their own use. Every song created will be supplied in an electronic copy, with the lyrics displayed in a certificate explaining the background to the song/ lyrics/ tune etc. Option1 : Tutor and customer discuss the scope of the song - whwether the song is to be personal - about someone, somewhere, a particular event - whether the song is to be uplifting or melancholy, with distortion, or smooth? These personalised songs can be so well received; especially with a copy of a certificate explaining why it was written, when it was written and for whom. Option 2: The Random Song - pick some random words and create a masterpiece; see the story come to life as the song verses merge into a meaningful chorus.... or let the fun begin, and let the children ( small and grown up) have loads of ideas which randomly converge into YOUR song! Can be done in person as part of a 'party' or online over Teams etc. No two sessions are ever the same; and multiple members can dial in if you want them to share in the Songwriting process! Singing: I help you discover and develop your true vocal sound. I've adapted Classical voice techniques to modern pop and contemporary singing to make it effortless. I treat the voice as an instrument, and help you train it in a way that you have freedom to sing whatever genre and style you like. What to expect in a lesson: -Warmups (general vocal stretching, and some specifically targeting the weak points in your voice) -Sing me a song of your choice for me to evaluate and assess your specific weaknesses and address a vocal protocol for them. -We then break down the song into sections and address each issue head-on to find the right technical solution right away. -Solutions are effective, practical, and easy to use (especially with some practice). Songwriting: I walk you through the process of writing, how to turn your feelings into words and melody, and sometimes, I write it with you! The goal is to help you better express yourself. What to expect in a songwriting session: -We will have some personal chats so I can help you write something therapeutic (if that is how you would like to use songwriting, otherwise we can keep it light) -I will type out key words and phrases from our conversation. -We will then look over all the text, and start forming lyrics with whatever stands out and inspires you. -We will practice some improvisation, and learn some basic theory to assist with the writing. -Then I will guide you to putting everything together into a song. Artist Development: I work with you to help create a vision for your artist project, develop clarity of brand, musical identity, awareness of how to protect your music, and how to find purpose in your passion. What to expect with artist development and mentorship: -In this process, I will pretty-much become your friend. The better I know you and your interests, the better I can help you get on the right path. -I help you organize your ideas and thoughts -Ask you really reflective questions to identify key elements for your brand and artistry. -I advise you around the do's and dont's of the industry, networking, looking for team, choosing your producer, collaborators, how to set yourself up as an artist, etc
