Trusted teacher: Over the past four years, I have had the incredibly rewarding experience of tutoring a diverse range of students, both with regard to age, ability and subject area. My experiences range from Year 5 and 6 students, in preperation for SAT's and Y7 entrance exams to Y11 GCSE prep and sixth form A-level and university preperation. I specialise in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology tuition. I believe in making lessons highly interactive and enjoyable to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the subjects we cover. Instead of relying solely on memorisation, I strive to cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in my students, through constant application of topics we have learnt in lesson, through structured exam questions, both in lessons, and through homework. By emphasising comprehension and application of knowledge, rather than rote learning, my aim is to lay a strong foundation for their academic success. As a Medical student, I strongly believe that communication and feedback are vital components of successful learning. Regular discussions with both parents and students allow me to gain valuable insights and adapt my teaching strategies accordingly. This open line of communication ensures that we address any challenges or concerns promptly, while also celebrating achievements and milestones along the way. I understand that every student has a unique learning experience so I always ensure the feedback I am given is used to tailor lessons to the unique needs of each student. I have always prioritised understanding their individual strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. By structuring lessons according to their specific needs, I have been able to create a supportive and effective learning environment. I design interactive and engaging activities that cater to their interests and foster active participation. This approach not only keeps the students motivated but also helps them grasp complex concepts more effectively. In doing so, I have helped my students excel academically, achieve high grades and develop a passion for learning. Furthermore, I foster an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification. I actively encourage them to voice any doubts or uncertainties they may have during our sessions. I make it a priority to provide prompt and comprehensive answers, ensuring that they not only understand the material but also feel supported and encouraged in their learning journey being accessible and responsive to their needs, I aim to create a nurturing and collaborative relationship with my students. This approach not only builds trust but also fosters a positive learning experience where students feel valued and motivated to excel. Overall, my tutoring approach revolves around personalized instruction, adaptability, and open communication to ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed.

Trusted teacher: Mathematics and Physics tutoring for secondary and primary education (also at home). Master Commercial Engineer KUL with a Science-Mathematics-8 and Civil Engineering background. ABOUT THIS LESSON: I offer tutoring in Python programming and mathematics for university and college students. I also support secondary school and primary school students in all scientific subjects. I start by (if available) using your old tests to determine together with you (and possibly your parents) what specific difficulties you have. In addition, we will have a short conversation in which you can explain to me which issues you have experienced as the most difficult and would like to focus more on. My focus is on ensuring that the student is able to find the solution independently, step by step, and I help where necessary by providing mini-tips to get to the next step together. This makes my method much more personalized than standard classroom teaching. When I notice that a student has difficulty independently coming up with the correct editing steps, I create a concise step-by-step plan tailored to that specific subject so that the student begins to see more structure in the learning material. At the same time, I ensure that the underlying theory is thoroughly understood by linking it to self-invented exercises and practical examples from the student's personal environment, which makes learning easier and more lasting. ABOUT NICK: I am a 22-year-old master's student in Commercial Engineering at KU Leuven. I started tutoring my sister, nephews, nieces and friends and I get a lot of satisfaction from improving and helping others when they come to me for help. Because I have been tutoring consistently for 4 years, I have the right resources to present learning material in an understandable way and to strengthen the motivation, concentration and independent study of my students. In addition, I have a lot of experience with children and didactic teaching techniques from my tennis initiator diploma. Ranging from first to sixth secondary school, from 2 hours to 6 hours of mathematics per week and everything in between, I have guided students of all directions and levels, with a successful outcome every time. I don't give up until I'm sure a student understands the material well enough and I see them making progress. By always appearing enthusiastic, I ensure that together we do not let the drudgery of difficult subjects get any further than the school desks. I am flexible in making appointments and am open to every student. This can be done at a fixed time every week or lesson by lesson. I provide tutoring at your home (I can travel by car), at my home (Kampenhout), in my student room (Leuven) or online. If you are interested, do not hesitate to contact me so that we can discuss the practical matters in more depth immediately. Together we can draw up a plan and work lesson by lesson to achieve your personal academic goals or those of your child.
