Are you struggling to keep up with your Biology content? Do you find it hard to understand complex biological concepts and theories? Look no further! I am here to help you achieve your academic goals and excel in biology. I am a highly qualified and experienced secondary science teacher who has a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of biology. I am well-versed in all aspects of biology, from cellular and molecular biology to ecology and evolution, and can explain difficult concepts in a clear and concise manner. I have 5 years of teaching all three secondary science subjects in KS3 and KS4, as well as 4 years of Biology A-level. Whether you need help with homework assignments, exam preparation, or just want to deepen your understanding of biology, I can provide personalised, one-on-one guidance and support. I will work with you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, and tailor their approach to your individual learning style and pace. I can use a variety of teaching methods and resources, such as interactive simulations, videos, and diagrams, to make the learning experience engaging and enjoyable. I am also patient, friendly, and approachable, and will create a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Most of the lessons will follow this structure; 1. An Introduction, explaining the concept and its importance. 2. Inquiry-based activity: This could be a work sheet, mind map or data. 3. Experimentation: Should there be an experiment linked, we will explore its importance. 4. Data analysis: Once the experiments are completed, we will then analyse the data and make graphs or tables to show their results. We will have a discussion on the patterns and trends observed, and ask my student to explain the underlying biological mechanisms. 5. Concept mapping: To consolidate their understanding we will create a concept map or a mind map that summarises the main concepts and relationships involved in the process. 6. Closure: To wrap up the lesson, I will pose some open-ended questions to stimulate further reflection and inquiry. Then, finish with some exam style questions. By following these steps, I can create a student-centred, inquiry-based learning experience that combines hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and concept mapping with collaborative and reflective learning. This type of lesson can help the students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a deeper understanding of the complex and fascinating world of biology.

Trusted teacher: A good teacher is above all a good pedagogue. I teach maths, physics, chemistry and science. My students come from all walks of life, from disadvantaged backgrounds and from the best schools in France and the UK. My approach is pragmatic and based on a real close relationship, which is essential to train and motivate the student. My experience and my mastery of the subjects taught allow me to establish quantitative objectives to which I commit myself contractually. The priority is of course to ensure that the student achieves better results, but also to help him/her define his/her future project and to reinforce his/her confidence, which is essential to any success. In this perspective, I establish a relationship of complicity and exchange in order to transform him into an actor of his future and to prepare him for the challenges of the professional world. Methodology : After an initial diagnosis during the intake, I establish quantified objectives to which I commit. The courses are tailored to the expectations and needs of the student and parents. I try to make the lessons "lively", orderly and efficient. Between each lesson, exercises are given and then corrected in order to follow the evolution of progress. Finally, I will anticipate the lessons of the school program, so that when the teacher starts a new chapter in class, the student already has a first apprehension of the course before the other students, allowing him to have more understanding and ease. In the year 2021, 100% of my final year students passed their bac (A Levels), 60% of them with honours or very good. Many have gone on to enter top business and engineering schools. Courses are available for all levels from secondary school to high school. As far as my background is concerned, I first studied medicine and then went on to study engineering in the field of civil engineering. After graduating with a Master's degree, I went on to teach in a private secondary school in France, where I am perfectly familiar with the new secondary school programmes. I am contractually committed to results. To your future success.

I have experience in teaching mathematics and science from IGCSE, GCSE and A-Level all the way up to the challenging I am very familiar with the GCSE syllabus having gone through the O’Levels and A’Levels in Singapore myself. When teaching mathematics and science, I believe that doing a lot of practice is the best way to learn; it’s how I’ve always studied the subject, from GCSE all the way up to university level. I understand the common issues students have with mathematics and science at every level, and I tailor my teaching to the needs of each individual student. When teaching GCSE and A level, I like to first go over any conceptual issues students may have, before moving on to exercises. Going through examples can often uncover misunderstandings, as well as provide clarity, and hence a balance of both is required. I work with a combination of weak and strong students from many well-known schools in Singapore and also international schools in London. I am keen to provide you with lessons that are highly personalised to your ability and goals – just let me know which areas you'd like to work on! Some students come with an idea of which topics they would like to improve on, in which case we can work on any theory questions they have and go through example problems they may be struggling with. For other students, it may be best to start with the exercises, and use these to spark discussion and teaching when we encounter difficulties. Often, it is a combination of time spent grappling with the content/theory and working through example questions together that helps the most!
