Learning a new foreign language is a complex dynamic process, so I teach following a structural traditional approach, which provides the foundation/basic rules of the language, while I tailor the lesson based on the student's needs. I assign homework and I use all the best tools - technology in order to provide the best learning experience possible. Charlotte is a superb instructor. I took classes with her at her home for several months to improve my public speaking skills. During each session, Charlotte helped me work on my tone and delivery through various public speaking exercises. Charlotte asked me to prepare short written assignments before our meetings, so that I could practice delivering my script using various speaking techniques during the class. For these assignments, Charlotte was very engaged and made sure that the assignments would assist me in my specific professional goals. She did this by tailoring the subject matter to my professional work - mostly legal and political matters - and she pushed me to consider what I wanted to achieve from my audience with each speaking opportunity. Charlotte, however, is not only a skilled professional. She is also a tremendously kind, energetic and dynamic person to work with. She made me feel comfortable sharing my vulnerabilities, which made the process of receiving constructive feedback a fun and welcomed experience. I’m very grateful to have Andrea as my Italian language tutor. I am traveling to Italy soon, and his lessons have given me the confidence I need to converse in Italian when I’m there. He pays close attention to pronunciation and grammar, politely correcting you when you make mistakes and clearly teaching you the grammar rules needed to avoid making them again. The typed notes he makes during the lesson (which he sends you afterward) are clear, very helpful summaries of what we covered. I don’t think I could ask for a better tutor!

Public speaking classes with Jay were top-notch! Even though we held the classes online, he has the rare ability to make you feel at ease in a second and I felt fully engaged. Jay covered a variety of subjects regarding tone, speed, volume, pronunciation, etc. with different exercises.
