English Tutoring from a native speaker - practising speaking, reading, writing and listening

In these lessons we will use the language skills you already have to discuss topics relevant to your ability level and interests. In doing this you will practise and improve your speaking skills, and I will give you feedback and advise, as well as introducing you to new language.

In English teaching lessons I use reading, prepared topics, and listening. I can also prepare lessons based on questions you have or parts of the language you would like to explore. For example, a lesson on phrasal verbs using reading to introduce language, and then discussion to reaffirm it.

In these lessons I can introduce you to new language and concepts and they are a very effective way of learning! Please let me know what level you are when you book.

About Me

I am an experienced teacher from the UK, who has completed her master's degree in International human rights law at Radboud this summer. I have taught across Europe, in Barcelona and Moscow, as well as online for around three years. I have extensive academic experience, with one bachelor's and three master's degrees under my belt!

I enjoy teaching as I love meeting people, learning together, and helping others. My teaching style is warm, approachable, and comfortable, as I believe in this environment we learn best! I have a lot of experience teaching across language barriers with a wide variety of ages and levels, and so I am also very flexible and understanding.

I make lesson plans, set goals, and understand what it is that you want to get from the lessons, so that we can achieve this together.

In this class, I will help you with writing in English at an academic level. This can be writing essays, refining your grammar and expanding your vocabulary, understanding academic texts, and more. It can be hard to transition to studying in English, particularly at the University level. With this class we make that transition easier, and make sure that language is not holding you back in class, essays or exams! I can also help with studying in English at school or college as well as at university.
We will tackle the law and I will help you understand difficult topics so that they come naturally to you! Having studied law for 5 years, I know that understanding cases, reading long articles, and developing analytical skills, can be difficult. Especially at the beginning of your studies. I also understand the stress of exams and figuring out how you can fit all of that information into your brain! In these lessons we can go through topics from your classes that you found difficult, work on how to prepare for a law exam, how to understand cases and analyse them, and more.

Noelia Salcedo
English, Art History, History, Philosophy, Geography, Spanish and Catalan
I am Noelia and I am from Barcelona. I am bilingual that's why I can speak both Catalan and Spanish, so it is not a problem to teach these languages. I have a CAE level (C1) in English so I am able to teach this foreign language to me as well. I did English private classes back in Spain on B1 and B2 level. I am here to help you with these languages. At the same time, being myself a licensed student in Humanities, I can teach Art History, Philosophy, Geography, Literature, and History. The language classes are going to be divided into 2: one part theory (just minutes) and then exercises. Depending on the topic you want to dive on in the lesson during it one or two themes will be explained. On the other hand, the more "letteren" topics would be explained little by little and without exercises just random questions at the end of each topic.
