Hi, I'm Paola and I'm a graduate in Italian Literature and I also have a master's degree in Teaching Italian to Foreigners. During the university period I gave private lessons to erasmus students in Italy and now I give individual Italian lessons in Amsterdam and online. I use a book that I integrate with different materials. Conversation is very important, but so is listening and understanding a text. I have also spent years working with farmers and market gardeners as well as in supermarkets focusing on understanding where food comes from. Additionally, as a flexitarian for almost 20 years (I eat animal products a few times a year) I am well-versed in how to build a healthy diet and save money and time! I'd love to work with you to feel confident about using new products and expanding your understanding of nutrition and cooking techniques from the vegan and vegetarian kitchen. I can also give group lessons and family classes

I teach Italian language for kids, students and adults who want to learn the Italian language. Being a native speaker I have a good knowledge of Italian and I can help you with the grammar basics or with improving your conversation skills. I have experience in tutoring: in Italy I used to teach English/Spanish/French and help students with their homework. For this reason I'm also open to doing this.

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
