Here, we write down and memorize the new words and verbs we learn.🧠 Then, after listening to a text related to our topic, I want you to explain in Turkish what you understood. I teach Formal Arabic (Fus’ha) in addition to Levantine and Gulf dialects. Which one should I choose? It depends on your needs. If you are solely interested in speaking, then I recommend Levantine or Gulf dialects. If you aim to master Arabic comprehensively, then Formal Arabic (Fus’ha) would be more suitable. What is the 30-hour program? The 30-hour program is designed to help you achieve conversational fluency and effectively express yourself and your needs. What comes after the 30 hours? If you are enrolled in the Dialects course, we will continue refining your speaking skills and expanding your vocabulary during lessons. Additionally, new words will be introduced during conversation sessions to aid in memorization and usage within sentences. For those on the Formal Arabic (Fus’ha) track, we will delve deeper into grammar and further develop your understanding of the language. How many hours a week do you recommend? I recommend 2 to 3 sessions per week. Can I learn Formal Arabic (Fus’ha) and one of the dialects simultaneously? Yes, you can take 2 lessons in Formal Arabic (Fus’ha) and 1 lesson in a dialect concurrently, as many of my students do.

I was born in Istanbul in 1983. I started teaching Turkish while studying the Turkish Language and Literature in my undergraduate programme. I worked in a language school and at universities, and I suppose I gained success. 😊 My achievements are directly proportional to my students’ success. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for 14 years. I also taught Turkish for 4 years when I was a university student. I learned Ottoman Turkish at the university, that is why I am familiar Persian and Arabic vocabulary. I also studied Persian, German and Italian grammar. I completed my master's degree in Ottoman history and spent a semester as an Erasmus student at the Turkish Studies Department of Leiden University. A basic but correct conversation is really important for self-confidence in any language. If a learner can master basic sentence forms, the rest will come much easier. On the other hand, making mistakes is also very important. Especially, a learner can not speak without making a mistake the first and second time. My students are always varied and have diverse learning skills. My professionalism also allows me to tailor language education according to individual interests, needs, and capacities. In the classroom, I hold firm three main principles: first, providing a comfortable environment, second, creating an encouraging atmosphere, and third, establishing a collaborative instruction model. I consider that I developed an aptitude for making learning Turkish much easier, more enjoyable, and more practical for my students. I use a book prepared by a university in Turkey. I share the pdf version of the book for my lessons. I also adapt the materials according to the learner’s needs and support the book with my authentic materials.
