About Me
I suffered from stage fright ('speech anxiety') and found out the hard way, in front of a large audience. My future jobs I knew would require me to speak often in public, often under very difficult circumstances. Not long after, I was sent to various engagements to be the speaker instead of others. I began teaching the subject at colleges in the evening and consulting with prominent public speakers to improve their skills and effectiveness.
What most don't realize is that those who fear communication or public speaking the most, almost always show the most improvement. It takes stumbling without fear, not worrying about mistakes and the realization that we all suffer insecurities. In other words, we manage, overcome and thrive.
Education
I have a PhD in research and have applied that to many areas, including public speaking, messaging, press conferences, group dynamics, systems, etc. I also try to recreate real-world settings and experiences so students can be wholly engaged in their own learning process.Experience / Qualifications
I have been advising, consulting and actually conducting many public speaking engagements for 35 years. At a young age, I knew I was bad and had to get better. Within a short time, I was teaching college students how to do it in the evening, advising politicians on how to improve, and engaging regularly in public speaking events. Not all go well. However, just like anything, a person can learn far more by failures or when things don't go well then they do by successes. This course is designed for students and participants of all backgrounds to vastly improve their public speaking abilities and confidence in communication. Rather than focusing on standardized methods, this course focuses on the individual speaker's needs and is tailored directly toward those areas that are assets as well as to improve on any weakness. The most important characteristic to improve is confidence, no matter how a particular speech goes. It's a process that turns fear into a challenge and then a challenge into fun.
Public speaking is a very personal experience in a public setting. Each person is different and finding the approaches, methods, and styles that work for that particular person will help them to realize that not only can they do something most people hate, they may actually start enjoying it.
Social science research is often a very intimidating subject. Many students are intimidated by the thought of conducting research. The course introduces and understanding of how research is conducted, how it differs from other classes and homework and why research is conducted in the manner it is.
This class is useful to all students. It will teach students to present thoughtful and supported work in their papers, understand the use of words and numbers, and how to present their work and the work of others in a professional manner. This will also maximize the critical thinking skills of students while giving them more confidence in their own abilities.

Political Communication, Public Speaking and PresentationThe course module is adapted to the student.
The summary will be communicated during the first lesson.
I teach you to speak and/or write with an approach to the sciences of political communication, international relations, social and human sciences while convincing the person(s) in front of you with several negotiation techniques.
▪️ The techniques used will improve your level of confidence in your public presentations and storytelling.
▪️ Political communication is about the creation and exchange of ideas and opinions between citizens, public officials, political institutions, and related entities, such as the media. It includes discourse throughout the political process in local, state, national, and international political systems, as well as how political information can be exploited for political ends or to achieve political goals. People with a background in political communication may work in policy advice, foreign service, market research, public relations, journalism, and digital media, community organizing, lobbying, political campaigning, or other related fields.
▪️ BUT! in order to achieve your goal you must master public speaking which is the process or act of giving a speech in front of a live audience. Public speaking is generally understood to be formal, face to face, speaking from a single person to a group of listeners.

Private lessons / preparation for Grandes Ecoles competitions: economics, political science, general culture, English, FrenchDoctor in political science and graduate in economics (Master), I have been teaching humanities in English and French in various grandes écoles (IEP) and business schools (EDHEC, SKEMA) for more than ten years.
Always respectful of the pace and needs of my students, I help them achieve their goals (preparation of files or entrance exams to high school, validation of exams ...) serenely.
For ten years, my goal has been the same: to help my students to surpass themselves by communicating to them a deep joy of learning.
I suggest you help you refine your file, consolidate your knowledge (general culture, economics or political science) and sharpen your skills (reflection / writing / presentation) so that, rather than arid "tests", your exams become opportunities or occasions to demonstrate your progress.

Help with preparing for the baccalaureate (dissertation and learning methodology, history, French, English, political science)Hello, my name is Audrey!
I am a student in international relations and foreign languages (Chinese) at INALCO and I have just returned from a year and a half in Asia working for French embassies.
My studies led me to work on many and very diverse subjects but above all to learn and quickly master many concepts and knowledge!
To achieve my goals, I had to develop tips and use methods from the time I was preparing for the BACCALAUREAT. So I know how discouraging, frustrating and even impossible it can sometimes seem to achieve.
Also, I propose to support you to help you prepare for and succeed in your baccalaureate in the best conditions! (stress management, oral expression for Grand Oral and language orals, methodology for responding to subjects even when the knowledge is not all known or mastered, etc.).
I have had the opportunity to help classmates in the past but also many students now in their learning.
I live in Paris and can travel if necessary.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I will be happy to talk with you about your expectations, your objectives and my working method.

Political Science, History and International Studies ClassesHistory and Political Science are intertwined subjects with multidisciplinary approaches. To study one of these, one must understand the other. I offer classes that teach either of the two subjects, as well as both (if required) with aspect to the other.
How often have we wondered about historical events with respect to Politics? Do we know that the Romanovs were related to the British Royal Family and how their brutal killings was shaped by geopolitics of the era, or how Hitler's death was a highly controversial political debate? You see how history and politics cannot be separated. It is also undeniable that having knowledge of the two subjects can help you achieve higher marks and credits, as well as a deeper understanding and passion for the subjects.

Teaching International Humanitarian Law at 2 Levels; Intermediate - AdvancedWith over one year experience in teaching and a decade long experience with adolescents and young adults, I, herein, present my course in "International Humanitarian Law".
In today's globalized world where the effects and repercussions of a conflict are not confined within a single state, it becomes crucial to know what rules are in place that regulate conflict and provide protection to those who are vulnerable. Aiming to mitigate and prevent human suffering in an armed conflict, International Humanitarian Law gives us answers to questions, such as: who can and cannot be targeted and under which conditions; at what times does a protected person lose protection; who is a combatant; what distinguishes a combatant from a civilian; and, what protections are available to those who do not take part in an armed conflict.
Amidst the many interstate conflicts, such as, Ukraine-Russia, Iran-Israel and Palestine-Israel conflicts, as well as the intrastate ones, such as in Sudan, having a working knowledge of International Humanitarian Law becomes even more vital as it re-establishes one's trust in law and humanity at such uncertain times as these ones.

Art and Politics: companion studies for A level and undergraduate Art History. The class will chart the development of European, American and International art history from 1900 to the present day, beginning with Post-Impressionism and its off-springs Cubism and Expressionism, the move into Abstraction post-war, to Conceptualism and Minimalism of the 1960s and 1970s which still have significant relevance in today's Contemporary art world. The focus will be on the wider political issues that impacted art history of the time, thereby using art history as a novel and unique lens through which we can gauge world history events, and its politics, in a potentially new and interesting light.
