About Me

I have taught for almost 8 years. Prior to this I worked as a professional in the property industry.
Between these 2 poles I have accumulated a wealth of experience in delivering well thought out academic content, that I believe would be of great benefit and value to students.

Education

My post school education is BA(HONS) Degree, Dip(Land Man & Dev), DipCert(Ed/DTLLS)), MSET.
My school education was 8 O Levels, 2 RSA', 5 A levels.
I attended school from 1973-1986. I stayed on at 6th Form for 2 years to complete A Levels. After school I undertook a History and Politics Degree for 3 years. This was from 1986-1989. From 1992-1994 I undertook a Postgraduate, Level 7 Qualification in Real Estate and Property. I then undertook a level 7 PGCE with completion in July 2011.
I am also a professional member of the Society for Education and Training/Education and Training Foundation.

Experience / Qualifications

16 years working as a Property Professional & 8 years teaching experience.
These 2 aspects of my professional experience have given me both a sound academic background, as well as an understanding of what is usually expected and required from anyone working in the field of the professions.
The online classes will provide for interesting, engaging, pertinent lesson content. I envisage a great deal of pointed and relevant discussion. There will also be some role playing. The classes will be a mix of narrative description to set the informational tone for the lessons, followed by pointed and relevant Q&A, followed by looking at relevant Case Studies, then topped off with exercises to test the knowledge and retention of the taught content.

History and geopolitics courses in middle and high school
Learn the methodology in dissertation and document analysis from middle school as well as high school. This is what is present in History Geography and in the HGGSP specialty, and I offer courses aimed, in addition to helping the learning of courses in these subjects, to put it into practice in an exercise with a built methodology. It is this methodology that I teach, in order to provide the student with independence. I can also provide homework help in these classes, as well as re-explain and repeat poorly understood course points. As for speaking in public, it is necessary for the oral exams at the end of high school. I have been part of a debate group for 3 years and have acquired a certain mastery there. I am a student in high school, in the final year and I already have experience in helping with homework in my high school. I also chose the HGGSP specialty (geopolitics and political science) in second and I obtained my baccalaureate in this subject.

Teaching International Humanitarian Law at 2 Levels; Intermediate - Advanced
With over one year experience in teaching and a decade long experience with adolescents and young adults, I, herein, present my course in "International Humanitarian Law". In today's globalized world where the effects and repercussions of a conflict are not confined within a single state, it becomes crucial to know what rules are in place that regulate conflict and provide protection to those who are vulnerable. Aiming to mitigate and prevent human suffering in an armed conflict, International Humanitarian Law gives us answers to questions, such as: who can and cannot be targeted and under which conditions; at what times does a protected person lose protection; who is a combatant; what distinguishes a combatant from a civilian; and, what protections are available to those who do not take part in an armed conflict. Amidst the many interstate conflicts, such as, Ukraine-Russia, Iran-Israel and Palestine-Israel conflicts, as well as the intrastate ones, such as in Sudan, having a working knowledge of International Humanitarian Law becomes even more vital as it re-establishes one's trust in law and humanity at such uncertain times as these ones. The class will chart the development of European, American and International art history from 1900 to the present day, beginning with Post-Impressionism and its off-springs Cubism and Expressionism, the move into Abstraction post-war, to Conceptualism and Minimalism of the 1960s and 1970s which still have significant relevance in today's Contemporary art world. Historical Warfare / Geopolitics for Beginners and Fun!
This class is for fellow history lovers or those looking to learn more about history. I have a keen personal interest in various eras of history and a high knowledge on said eras. I mainly specialize in historical warfare, alike the second world war or the Napoleonic wars, as well at the politics of the eras of interest. This class is for mainly beginners, for people who wish to gain either more information on a specific historical era / event, or those who wish to learn about them in its entirety. This all being said, my main historical learning points range from the 1600s to modern day, anything previous and youll find me lacking, please keep this in mind when picking me! And again, keep in mind i mainly focus on the Warfare aspects and Political aspects.
