I am a BA graduate of Classics and Literature from Athens National and Kapodistrian University and holder of an MA degree in Dramaturgy and Writing for Performance from Goldsmiths University of London. I have nearly 10 years of experience of teaching in different countries, settings and age groups as a private tutor of ancient and modern Greek in my home country and as a primary school TA and Art Teacher in the UK. At the same time, I have developped my career as a theatre freelancer in production and dramaturgy. Throughout my life I have engaged with writing, both creatively as a writer and theatre maker and as a facilitator and script reader. I can offer Creative Writing sessions for emergning writers in Theatre and Poetry. Whether you have some experience or you're just getting started, I can help you shape and develop your craft, offer constructive feedback and helpful reading lists and creative references. I also offer 1:1 lessons of Greek and Ancient Greek, Classics, Literature and Theatre to indiviuals and small groups of all ages and backgrounds.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or poet with some experience, these classes will be tailored to suit your approach and level. The class will be a safe space for you to receive informed feedback on your work, to do lively and fun but challenging exercises, listen to mini-talks, to explore of form in poetry, say, in a lively and accessible manner, to learn about particular poets, past and present, or advice about publishing and other aspects of 'being a poet' relevant to your accomplishments so far.

Having won first prizes in many creative writing competitions and having few of my poetry published, I have great expertise in the field of creative writing that I would like to deliver as a skill, bringing words on a page to life and sparking artistic creativity in monotone language, is an inbuilt passion of mine. My class will give you an introduction to creative writing techniques, and regular creative writing practice sessions for writing poetry and/or stories. If you are a student studying GCSEs, I can help with GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, Poetry analysis & English spoken language. My Grades in these: - GCSE English Literature: Grade 9 (A**) - GCSE English Language: Grade 8 (A*) - English spoken language: Distinction I have been awarded 'Best Chairperson' in Round 2 of the ESU Churchill Public Speaking Competition. I have delivered presentations on Air filter prototypes as parts of projects with Dyson, BP and AWS.

In this class, we'll work on shaping new drafts whilst learning about international poetic forms as well as producing some free verse work. We'll edit our material and, if we have multiple sessions, we'll put together a brief collection! We will explore the world of the senses, memories, and connect to language in a new, profound way. My course is not prescriptive, and we'll meet your voice wherever you're at right now. You'll be taught by a published poet with work experience in the UK and North America. I've taught Creative Writing to university students at a world-leading school, and worked with younger audiences, and I'm happy to work with a variety of forms in English. I studied for my MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia, and won a scholarship as the strongest poet in my cohort.

I am a professional actress and movement director and I deliver one-to-one drama tuition sessions and full day workshops that are tailored to suit your individual needs. I have worked as an acting teacher and public speaking coach for all age groups (from ages 3 - 80!) for 24 years and it is a great passion and privilege of mine to assist in this way, seeing my students' evolution. I have both a diploma and a degree in Acting (LAMDA, Associate Acting Diploma/ Rose Bruford, BA Hons Acting) and I have trained with Gecko physical theatre company. As well as performing for decades on stage and on screen, I have also run The Bedlam Bunch Children's Theatre and Entertainment since 2007, through which I have written and directed numerous stage plays as well as interactive, immersive shows for children aged 3 - 9 years. I also founded and ran Outburst Theatre from 2010 - 2019 as a platform to bring communities together in South East London via educational theatre projects. As a solo artist, I have written and produced three one-woman stage shows - "Raw Cake", "Through the Hourglass" and "The Wonky Shonky Show" - all performed in London, UK. The purpose of this class is to get you (back to) writing. It doesn't matter if you're stuck or just getting started. With simple generative writing prompts and exercises, I'll help you overcome your fear of the blank page and start writing. My goal is to help you "rest on the page" and get into a state of flow through techniques like freewriting, list-making, and word associations. You can also receive individual feedback and support on your current or upcoming writing projects, along with helpful exercises that you can do at home, which we can then discuss. The class can be taught in either English or Dutch. Ilona (1992) lives and works in Brussels as a writer, poet, and photographer. Her work examines the fragile architecture of being human, paying particular attention to what hides at the edges of existence, in the shadow of shame. With a background in English literature, linguistics, and political science, she has worked as a writer and copywriter for a decade. Newspaper De Morgen praised her debut novel Donkerkiemer (Pelckmans Publishers, 2023) as ‘particularly cleverly composed' and 'psychologically and philosophically profound’. Themes such as ritual, memory, and loss, as well as a gentle rebellion against prevailing norms and systems, are central to her work. She is currently working on a second novel.
