It is not necessary to have skills in music theory, nor to know how to read the notes, because I use the Suzuki method, which adapts to the youngest as well as to teenagers. Hi, I'm Caitlin! I have been playing violin/viola for almost 30 years and teaching it for 15 years! I have travelled all over the world playing. I have enjoyed studying with some of the greatest teachers such as Sally Thomas and Kurt Nikkanen. Teaching is my passion and I have a studio of 60+ students of all ages, abilities, and techniques! Learn to improvise, jam and create your own music. I am a cellist, composer and improviser specialising in working with string players to unlock and devlop creative potential. I will work with you to deveop a bespoke course to help you develop skills in improvisation. Areas covered: Jazz improvisation - Blues, Standards, Harmony, Bass Lines, Finding Chords, Building and Creating Solos, Elarnig repertoire. Baroque Imrpovisation - Ground Bass, Partimento realisation and developing cadenzas for classical repertoire Free/Folk and other styles - we can explore any styles of improvisation, and discuss how to develop your skills. I am a professor of Imrpovisation at the Royal Colege of Music in London, and a composer and performer of my own music internationally.

I use the methods with which I learned, such as books like Suzuki, Czerni, etc., always adapted to the student's age and level. The student's musical preferences will also be taken into account for learning pieces or songs they enjoy. There will also be an emphasis on public performances, as this is one of the most challenging aspects for musicians. We will try to organize concerts or recitals in a family setting to practice this skill. Finally, motivation will be reinforced by preparing duets (two violins, violin and piano, violin and guitar, etc.), as this is one of the most effective methods for improving skill level.

Hello everyone! My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world. I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.

In this violin course you will learn a foundation in learning one of the most rewarding instruments in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Feeling good with your body and listening to it, understanding where the sound comes from and how to produce it, learning the basics and how to read the notes and the score, learning tricks and daily exercises without the instrument to help you develop your agility and muscles, playing together duets to get closer to the chamber music world and to learn how to listen and collaborate with others. I think it's important to listen also to the student's requests and desires; if you have a tune or a piece that you would love to play we can work on it together. Folk music is also an interesting way through which we can get closer to the instrument and the music world, playing traditional dances from different countries and discovering different music languages. As every person has his own physiognomy and musculature, we will try to find together a correct and comfortable posture that better suits the student to create a connection with the instrument. Warming-up and taking care of our body is part of a musician's life (beginner, amateur or professional) and it is important to prevent injuries and muscle pain. Unfortunately this aspect is not often taken into account and for this reason I aim to transmit this value to my students.

My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I can teach in English or French and of course in my mother tongue Albanian.
