I tailor each lesson according to my student needs. I allow for the first 10 minutes to “steam off” in English/Spanish to express requests, needs, doubts and/or clarifications. Then everything is mandatory in Italian! The only exception made is for improving translation skills, upon request. My academic background allows me to trace the etymology of any given word and to easily spot false-firends, enabling a durable memorisation of new vocabulary. Lessons usually focus on travelling, contemporary issues, specialised vocabulary of one’s own professional area, and practical vocabulary for daily life. Examples of tasks: - Preparing and sending an email to book an hotel room / rent a car - Understanding and analysing brief videos/audios (i.e. Ted Talks, Podcasts) to post comments - Explaining a recipe - Summarising a tv show episode/play/book - Analysing and translating news, crowdfunding campaigns, and essays.

Meditation doesn't work.” And you are right. Meditation doesn’t work if what we are trying to do is bypass the difficulties and discomfort of being a human being. If you are trying to change who you are. Then meditation definitely doesn’t work. But it does work if what you are seeking is to suffer less. Or at least to suffer well.
