Trusted teacher: About the teacher: First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance. Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as a proper method for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning. It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life. About the class: Different students may require different class lengths. For a child under the age of six, the teacher recommends less time for each class but a higher frequency. Kids who took the piano class twice a week and half an hour each class usually progress faster than those who took it once a week. For kids who practice longer time, it is also advised to take the course longer time. A child who practices two hours a day could play Beethoven's Fur Elise within one year, but for a child who practices less than half an hour per day, this goal may take more than four years to reach. For adults who have greater self-control, it is advised to take the class for a longer time per class but with less frequency.

I have 12 years of teaching experience, and have taught pupils from 5 years old to 65! I began composition lessons with Darren Bloom at Forest School, Snaresbrook, and was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, followed by a place at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I completed an MMus in Composition in 2019. My previous tutors include Richard Ayres, Wim Henderickx, Richard Causton, Edwin Roxburgh, Ed Bennett, Joe Cutler, and Howard Skempton. I have also taken master classes from Rebecca Saunders, Mario Garuti, Anna Korsun, and Colin Matthews. I was the winner of the Orchestre Nouvelle Generation Composers Competition 2016/17, and the Birmingham Conservatoire Orchestral Composition Prize 2015. Distinguished ensembles and performers who have performed my works include the DoelenKwartet, HERMESensemble, Syzygy Quartet, Ossian Ensemble, Noszferatu, Decibel, David Le Page, Patrick Johnson, Sara Minelli, Rowland Sutherland, and Colin Alexander. Trusted teacher: As a Cambridge University graduate in the Faculty of Education, I am delighted to have settled down in the Netherlands since September 2019. I started piano at the age of 5, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. Classically trained as a violinist, I picked up another instrument named Erhu (Chinese violin) and became a professional performer. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults, from different cultural backgrounds. Also, I have been actively involved in both Western and Chinese orchestra since high school. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am also familiar with orchestral music. As a humble music therapist, I am passionate about music and believe in the power of music. I trust that music is in everybody and I respect every student's individuality and thus tailor my teaching methods to develop my students' full potential. I started teaching in 2009 and most students put their trust in me when they first decided to learn an instrument. I also enjoy exploring the world of music with students with learning disabilities. I am proud to say, my students, aged from 5 to 60, are enthusiastic in playing the instrument they have chosen and keen to improve their skills following my advice. I adopt a flexible approach in teaching - I believe every student is unique and my job is to develop the strengths and improve the weaknesses. I put a lot of emphasis on a solid foundation in my teaching. Asja is really a good teacher to me, since I had 10 lessons from her before and my level growing from 3 to 4 during the lessons. Now I bought 10 lessons from her again. I planed to be her student in my whole piano studying life, because she is very good at teaching piano. Not only good at teaching me about the piano skills, melodious, and to be patience, but also good at correct my mistakes and explain how to improved it until I totally got her point. Especially some mistakes I don’t how to express those problems, but I feel something wrong. Share some useful skills with me to improve my skills gradually. Always have a happy lesson from her, and feel so friendly with her 😊 Its my luck to have such a good teacher 😃

Catalina is a wonderful teacher! I have just started to play the viola and I am very happy to have found Catalina as my teacher! Catalina is experienced, professional, motivated, creative and patient. She easily adapts to the student's level and tailors each lesson to the student's individual needs. Her teaching approach is original, creative and effective and it is apparent that Catalina enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for viola lessons.

My first online lesson with Anastasia was excellent. After determining my level and goals, she jumped right into teaching. She has a personable style that made me feel comfortable as a beginner. Her instructions were clear and precise, so that despite the disadvantages of online lessons, I could follow them them easily. I left the first lesson with a lot to practice, and I'm looking forward to the next!
