Trusted teacher: Hello there! Welcome to my profile. I am Rui and I teach piano. The piano is known as the most complete musical instrument of all. This is because when playing it we can get all kinds of characters and sounds: very deep basses or super soft high notes; delicate melodies or dense harmonies (almost like an orchestra sometimes). This is one of the reasons why I love to play the piano, its versatility adapts to my everyday mood. I would love to show you the wonders we can create with this amazing instrument! Lessons Every student is different, and by saying this I mean that I prepare every lesson specifically for each student. Some might be more shy, others might need more time to acknowledge some questions. I believe that music (much like everything else) should be taught with patience and motivation. You shouldn’t feel like you’re going against time, it should be the opposite. As a teacher, I always give priority to your motivation and excitement regarding the lesson’s activity. If I see that a student is not enjoying the lesson I have to improvise and turn it around. When teaching, the most important thing for me is that you learn while having fun. I have already some years of experience in giving piano lessons to people of all ages. I adapt the lesson content for every student individually, and I always give them the freedom to follow their musical taste and instincts. I also give a lot of focus to creativity and improvisation. At the end of the lesson, I usually save a few minutes for the student to decide what he/she wants to do: maybe a little 4-hand improvisation, or maybe play a piece they have already learned and that they enjoy playing. About me Most of my studies and experience as a teacher took place in Portugal. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance in 2020. I moved to The Netherlands in 2020 to attend the Master Program in Classical Piano Performance in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. My academic studies were built on classical music but I also have some experience in pop and rock music. I hope this motivates you to study piano with me! Looking forward to seeing you soon during your first lesson!

Trusted teacher: Recently many of my students in HK switched to online due to the pandemic wave here. The online classes work very well. I can use multi-media to share screens and make the instruction clear. As a result, I plan to offer a new category of online piano and music theory classes. About the teacher: First, Professional. Holding a Master in Music post-graduate degree, the teacher has been teaching piano lessons professionally for 17 years. She has a solid theoretical foundation in music teaching, composition, and piano performance. Second, a kind attitude with patience, as well as a proper method for different levels of students. She has taught students who easily pass ABRSM grade 8. She also possesses excellent patience with young kids under the age of six. During the last ten years, her goal has been to solve an important issue: how to make students interested in piano playing. Most kids who learn the piano would give up before or during their teenage time. However, 99% of them regret it when they grow up. In Christina's lesson, she will acknowledge to the students and parents clearly what difficulties they will face during the process of music learning. It's more important that students learn to develop a good habit, a worthwhile hobby, and the perseverance that will benefit their whole life. About the class: Different students may require different class lengths. For a child under the age of six, the teacher recommends less time for each class but a higher frequency. Kids who took the piano class twice a week and half an hour each class usually progress faster than those who took it once a week. For kids who practice longer time, it is also advised to take the course longer time. A child who practices two hours a day could play Beethoven's Fur Elise within one year, but for a child who practices less than half an hour per day, this goal usually takes more than four years to practice. For adults who have greater self-control, it is advised to take the class for a longer time per class but with less frequency.

Piano and Music Theory lessons with Specialised and Experienced Teacher (Odivelas)
Helena
I came to Helena as a complete beginner with the piano. Though I played other instruments previously, her help on the techniques of the piano was exactly what I was looking for. She has a fantastic grasp of music theory and made those concepts easily understandable to me as well. I highly recommend Helena to anyone who is looking to get a solid foundation with the instrument or music in general.

Learn the guitar with an active performer and formally trained musician. (Brussels)
Nikos
This was my first meeting with Nikos and I found him to be very understanding and open to my aspirations and ambitions regarding the acoustic guitar. I look forward to being his student for a decent interval to reach my next level in playing classical guitar music.

Piano, solfege, composition in Brussels and Leuven. (Leuven)
Giuseppe
Guiseppe pays a lot of attention to technique straight from the start and respects old methods. I think this is a very important trait for a piano teacher to have. His music theory explanations are very clear and interesting. I'd say he's the best from the best.
