I am a 24 year-old HBO student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam who plays Bassoon. I consider music an essential part of our lives and our culture and, therefore, its learning is necessary so that we can enrich and develop fully as human beings. The bassoon offers lots of remarkable and distinguished qualities, that you can only achieve by learning this particular instrument, with a very characteristic sound.

From my studio at the Berlagebrug, I give Piano lessons to beginners and (semi) advanced students. The lessons take place on a Yamaha wing and when a piece is well under control, we can make a professional recording of it. I graduated in 1992 as a musician from the Hilversum Conservatory (nowadays Conservatory of Amsterdam) in the direction of light music, or jazz and pop. So with me, you learn not only to read notes but also chord schemes and - if you want - improvisation. Or we search together for a song that you would like to play and make a nice adaptation of it. Together we first look at exactly what you want to learn and align the curriculum. I can also help you learn how to compose and produce. I work with Pro Tools and Logic Pro X. For classical Piano lessons, I would rather refer you to someone else.

In her career as an artist she has released several EPs under the duo 'Micah & Julia' and traveled to Nashville to work with Grammy Winning Songwriter, Femke Weidema and then joined her label, LV Music. This class can be anything you choose from the specified lessons. I teach piano, any genre is welcome since I have been playing and studying all of them, anything you choose is possible. We could start with absolute beginner lessons, or if you are already have been playing and you want to upgrade your skills, we will continue to make you a better player, or composer. I can also provide help and guidance with preparations for exams or auditions.

Hi there! I am Tryfon, a musician from Greece. I have been playing drums professionally for nine years performing with great musicians and friends mostly in Greece and the Netherlands. The last three years I have worked as a drum teacher in private lessons. I have studied Classical Percussion in the Conservatorium of Thessaloniki for three years (2017-2019), and Jazz Drumming in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2020-2024). The lessons are designed for all skill levels and cover any genre of music you want to learn.

I've been playing different instruments for as long as I can remember and I've mainly started to focus on bass guitar. I also play in several bands and I have a lot of experience with the instrument on stage or in the studio. I also know a lot about everything that has to do with theory, so I make a lesson plan that is completely tailored to what you want to do! Lessons can take place at my home or at school. The drumset is one of the most important and powerful instruments in a music ensemble. It does not only provide the rhythm and groove foundation for all the other instruments - it also defines the sound of the band, the character of the songs, the volume... just like an orchestra conductor. In these lessons (which are of course personalized and open depending on the interests of the student) we will work beyond the physical/mechanical aspect of the drums (technique, coordination, etc) into the musical aspect, so we will spend some time listening and analyzing music together, working on ear training and music theory from a practical point of view.
