My approach The basis is the construction of a holistic musical personality, an individual approach. I help students express themselves and captivate listeners. This includes, in addition to all types of technique, ear training and music theory, also more general psychological skills and abilities related to your personality, such as, for example, artistry and musicality. In this sense, the student and teacher's understanding of themselves and music plays a major role; serious attention is paid to psychological processes in the lesson, since they are the most important part of the student's progress. Elements of psychoanalysis are included in the work (I have more than 7 years of experience in personal analysis). Unfortunately, teachers almost always do not know how to work in this area, which significantly worsens the quality of classes. In lessons, I start from your goals, desires and level, you can choose your repertoire and pace of learning together with me. Lessons are adapted to the age, level and tasks of the student - an individual approach. With students who study professionally, they are distinguished by greater intensity, the presence of exam lessons. With children, a minimum of theoretical discussions and a maximum of play. My private violin lesson with Ester was absolutely perfect. I had a privilege to hear Ester play her violin and she is so good- it is crazy to think I was able to learn from her. She is also such a good teacher. Full of knowlege and patience- which is, in my opinion, a rare combination. I had no prior musical education and this was my first real music lesson. Ester managed to teach me basic note reading, correct violin holding and even playing my first tunes. Her explainations are very clear and easy to understand. And her approach is very friendly. She is also a very nice person and easy to talk to. I wish we lived in the same city so I could keep studying playing violin with Ester- that's how good she is. Lidia

As i am just about to start harp lessons, we had a first ''lesson' in which Mélanie advised me extensively about the types of harps that I should consider getting/renting,and explained her pedagogy and the type of music she specializes in, which is exactly what I would like to take up. She explained some aspects of the repertoire (such as the fact that for older music we often have only a melody line surviving, so the accompaniment involves improvisation). She is extremely friendly and helpful, organized and clearly at home with teaching online, which she had been doing in part before the lockdown. I look forward to having the first 'real' lesson once I have a harp to play on.
