My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. Dedication and hard work can yield significant progress within a year, enabling you to play simple tunes. However, if you lack a passion for music or the instrument itself, I advise against pursuing it. As a friendly and passionate teacher, I derive joy from witnessing my students' progress and enjoy playing duets with them. Gabriel is an excellent pianoist and a very good teacher. He is very patient and my little kid loves his lessons. He teaches my kid using the textbooks for ABRSM which are very good for kids to learn piano as well as music theory.
