I am a professional opera singer, currently studying a Master's at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Having performed numerous operas, oratorios and song recitals, I have a in depth and far reaching knowledge of the classical vocal repertoire and a good command of the musical theatre repertoire. Whether you are using it professionally or for fun, I am a strong believer that establishing excellent technique is essential to developing a voice. I work from the premise that no two voices are the same and I tailor lessons to suit my students. We will work on technique, repertoire, interpretation and, where appropriate, language skills. Together, we can work on building a healthy voice and compiling a book of repertoire to help you prepare for exams or recitals. The aim of a lesson is to achieve vocal freedom, which will allow the student to approach repertoire healthily and confidently without fear of the voice giving out. Whatever age, skill level or intention for using the voice, this will ultimately make singing more enjoyable! I have experience coaching choirs and working with young people, particularly with Cambiata North West. I have given masterclasses and singing days, most recently at Saffron Walden County High School. If you would like to organise a lesson, please do not hesitate to contact me via the details on the 'Contact' tab. During the COVID - 19 lock down and social distancing period, I will be teaching remotely via Skype and Zoom. As well as singing tuition, I am also happy to tutor music theory and academic music programmes up to and including A-Level Music. For young people, the aspects of performance and study go hand in hand and I believe it is important to offer support in all aspects of music!

Hello, my name is Beibei, I have 10 years experience of performing as concert percussionist working with orchestras, schools, universities and curating my own project as well as extensive teaching experience, from large group workshops to 1:1 tuition. My aim is to make sure each of my pupils are well versed in all musical genres from classical to contemporary. We will have a focus on a certain style and work by playing along to bands and recordings to help improve the listening side of music. We will also work on technical exercises to ensure the growth as a great musician. I can also offer examinations, working towards graded exams can be useful for many people to get an understanding of progress and achievement when moving up to the next level. Lessons will be fun and there will be lots of chance for creativity and improvisation if desired. My approach to teaching drums, percussion and piano is focused on developing a strong understanding of rhythm, phrase, scales in general and applying it on playing. I will customise my teaching approach to your needs, depending on the level of your playing and your musical desires. I'll give my best in each lesson to guide you step-by-step into becoming a better musician/drummer. You can learn about: - Groove - Technique - Drum sounds and percussion for different genres/applications - Controlling dynamics between different limbs - Reading complex musical notations - Composing and improvisation - Piano and music theory - Body percussion And much more... Performing with London Philharmonic Orchestra and other professional ensembles. Insta: gagaopaka I started playing the violin when I was 5 years old, and throughout my musical education I've been extremely lucky to study with generous teachers and masters. They not only passed on the knowledge of the violinistic technique, but also sparked my musical imagination and taught me how to listen to, understand and perform music from different ages of history. Over the past years, I approached music education from both a theoretical and practical point of view. During my Erasmus at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2016, I attended the Teaching Skills Course. It helped me to understand the many mechanisms of a performer’s thought processes and, consequently, to adjust my teaching method to each student. In 2016, being a member of Southbank Sinfonia enabled me to gain experience working with instrumentalists, mentoring young musicians at Glyndebourne, Vaughan Memorial School and Thomas's Battersea School. In 2014, I graduated in Pedagogical Studies at the Academy of Music in Cracow (2014). This diploma included psychology, pedagogy, didactics, voice projection, violin teaching methods and an internship at a music high school as a Violin Teacher. Among my recent teaching experiences, in August 2019 I gave masterclasses at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music, working with musicians of the Penderecki Youth Orchestra. During the same period, I taught musicians of the NOR59 Strykeinstitutt Orchestra in Oslo. Recently I have been selected to be an Ambassador with The Benedetti Foundation in London.
