During my year of experience working at a tutoring centre, I had the opportunity to teach a wide range of age groups, from nursery-aged children to GCSE students. I primarily work with KS3 and GCSE students but am fully capable of tutoring younger age groups. My previous experience tutoring at a centre and delivering one-to-one allows for effective tutoring that addresses both the academic needs and the exam preparation students require, so they can achieve the best grades possible. -When working with nursery children, I focus on building their core foundational skills, including phonics, basic numeracy, and early reading comprehension. With primary-aged students, I helped solidify their understanding of literacy and numeracy, tailoring lessons to suit their developmental stages and unique learning styles. -At the secondary level, particularly Key Stage 3 (KS3) and GCSE, I provide more structured academic support. For KS3 students, I guide them through subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, ensuring they have a firm grasp on key concepts to build a solid foundation for their future studies. My approach includes fostering problem-solving skills and encouraging independent thinking. -When tutoring GCSE students, I work closely with the current exam syllabus. I am well-versed in the specifications of major exam boards like AQA, Edexcel, and OCR. I ensure that my students are familiar with exam techniques, practice past papers, and master the key content areas required for their exams.
