I am a high school history and geography teacher and I really appreciate teaching others the joy of learning. After studying to become a teacher at the Humboldt University in Berlin, I taught at various secondary schools and high schools - in my subjects as well as in various subjects such as German, English, mathematics and biology. This temporary work has funded my stay in South America for the past ten years, where I have volunteered with my wife Judith, learning Spanish and Portuguese in the process. When it comes to tutoring, I aim to increase the student's self-efficacy and confidence in their own abilities, to learn core competencies that are important across subjects, and to convey fun with new knowledge. It is also important to me that the student recognizes the areas in which he can practically apply what he has learned. In addition to the subject lessons, I have also given individual language lessons in German and English for many years. My goal is for the language to be experienced with the head, heart and hand and thus learned more quickly.
