I studied a 4-year bachelors’ degree in English Philology at the National University of Colombia. I’ve had six years of experience as an English teacher at schools and academies in Bogotá. Moreover, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in English teaching volunteerings in different schools in Czechia, an English academy in Turkey, and an ONG in Egypt. I’ve worked with different group ages at different circumstances. Whether in schools and academies I ́ve taught children between 7 and 12 years old. I’ve also taught adults with the purpose of finding better jobs, better positions, studying, for business or simply as a hobby. I’m passionate about technology, history, nature, culture and languages. The activities I enjoy the most are drawing, taking photos, playing videogames, and teaching. I enjoy including these topics within my lessons to create a positive and joyful environment for the students. I use updated material from cognitive and communicative approaches to teaching to ensure an effective and long-lasting learning.
