I am a middle weight saxophonist ie. not great, not bad. I have been learning for 4 years or so.
I think I am "perfect" for very early students that may or may not want to learn the saxophone.
I know, the bad and the good with saxophones - and I can absolutely point you in the better direction after me.
One of the major challenges I had was with the complexity with learning, what to do first, - does it matter? do I learn scales, do I learn chords, do I learn notes.... if I want to play it a band vs. play on youtube - what should I do first?
I can definitely help you speed this process up and teach you about the instrument and the challenges you might face with cheap saxophones (china) vs. expensive vs. mouthpieces vs reeds et. al.
It's not that complicated, but it just needs to be explained clearly.
