I am a qualified teacher with five years experience working for an FE college, where I taught English GCSE, iGCSE and Functional Skills (Entry Level to Level 2). Prior to that I worked for seven years as a learning support assistant, supporting learners with various SEN needs. Having worked with students who have previously failed their English GCSE, and adults who never got the chance to take them the first time round, I get that English can seem daunting. But it doesn't have to be! I pride myself on being a very patient, understanding tutor who's good at tailoring the subject to student needs and interests. As for my qualifications, I have a 2:1 degree in Philosophy and Literature from the University of Essex and a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
