Art is a powerful tool for unlocking creativity and expressing yourself! It is invaluable for wellbeing, and developing a greater appreciation of the art and world around you! In my classes we will explore a range of mediums, including: Oil Paint, Ink Pens, Gouache, Watercolour, and Alcohol markers. We will cover the fundamentals of perspective, form, shadow, and composition. The class will be student-lead and we can focus on whichever artistic practice interests you the most. Whether you are new to the practice or an experienced artist, there is always more to learn and new ways to explore creativity.

I’m a classically trained musician with a broad knowledge of music theory, performance techniques and studio recording. I have a degree in Music (University of Birmingham) and a master’s in Sound Design (University of Edinburgh) as well as lots of experience playing in orchestras, Ceilidh bands and choirs! I’ve taught Music Production at BIMM University, and privately I’ve taught piano, guitar, double bass, and music production. I’ve taught lessons for absolute beginners, intermediates and advanced students and in a range of styles including traditional Scottish folk music, American bluegrass and classical. I generally like to begin my lessons by focussing on technique as this builds a strong foundation that will improve every element of your playing. Alongside this I like students to build a repertoire of music which they enjoy playing. My lessons are always fun and flexible - allowing you to learn in whichever way works best for you! I’m happy to answer questions and to shape lessons around your individual goals and aspirations.
