An introduction to how to use food waste and store cupboard spices to experiment with natural dyes on the kitchen hob. Beginning with setting up the bath, during this class you will learn how to dye fabric at home so they can inject some colour into your old clothes, or turn dreary fabric scraps or bedsheets into fabric for a new project! This workshop gives a taster of some traditional ‘shibori’ (Japanese style tie dye) techniques. This class is suitable for complete beginners and adaptable for those with existing dye experience.
