For long follow-ups, my methodology is to target the student's shortcomings, to find the reasons and causes, on the basis of what I base a study program that we will follow throughout the period of support.
For punctual follow-ups, we go straight to the point: where is the material wrong? We act immediately. I recommend this for students who do not have the time to have a long follow-up but it is still much more effective pedagogically speaking.
In other words, I adapt to the situation and the student.
