Hello, I have been playing the guitar for more than 10 years, I write music and have been playing the bass guitar for several years and I currently have 16 students as a guitar teacher. I played in several bands (pop, rock, metal, extreme metal) as a guitar and a bass player. I also have been an English teacher in France (I’m French) for 2 years. I can introduce you to guitar playing, electric or acoustic guitar as well as bass guitar in many genres and I can give you intermediate courses on electric guitar in the rock and metal genres. My aim is to teach you the basis at playing guitar, the different techniques so that you will be independent and then learn and write songs by yourself. You can send me the songs you would like to play, or the genre(s) or your goal and then we will elaborate a plan to reach that goal. We will study the different chords and techniques in your favorite area. Once the basis of guitar (at least the main chords) are being mastered, we can learn how to write music. Here is a non-exhaustive program : how to hold your guitar and your pick, tuning of the guitar, tablature reading, chords and chords sequences, song writing based on chords, scales, rhythm, arpeggios, techniques (Hammer-on, pulling-off, slides, tapping, palm mute etc), riffs, guitar neck/notes exploration, exercices on fingers independence and stretching.
