Violin is a beautiful instrument, but requires lots of practise and understanding in order to truly have fun and play beautiful music. I truly do love the violin, having played it since I was 4, so I am very patient and very attentive to my students and hope to truly help their talents flourish. I have over 12 years of musical experience, learning violin, singing and piano from professors from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Royal College of Music, as well as the Wiener Musikseminar. My teaching methods are very distinct- I like using typical methods such as Etudes, as well as more technical methods such as balancing the bow on the violin, fixing the posture, as well as simple lessons of listening to violin music so the student can understand how exactly to play their piece. This will help students gain a stronger foundation, as well as allowing them to truly appreciate what they're playing. All ages are welcome whether totally new beginners, but they must be over 4 or advanced and hoping to get their ABRSM Grade 8 done. Unfortunately, only webcam lessons are available due to college scheduling.
