Algorithmic thinking or problem solving is a very important skill that should be developed for anyone interested in computer science. Before learning a language or framework we need to cultivate our thinking which requires periodic training and learning logical thinking techniques. There is a whole area of computer science called competitive programming. In developed countries, students are taught how to cultivate algorithmic thinking from the earliest years of education. A future engineer is a person who can concentrate for several consecutive hours and who has a well-developed problem-solving ability.
