I specialize in violin coaching. I am a professional violinist, a tenured associate professor, and also a professional coach. I work on violin AND mindset. I believe that being the best we can be (being what's POSSIBLE versus being the default) can be trained. I layer my teaching: 1) score study 2) embodiment work 3) technical things that need to be gotten out of the way The goal of my teaching: playing in a way that suggests BEING the music. Radiating the music inside and out, so that what you play is in your body, on your face, and you are NOT in your own way. Rather, you've studied the score, understand phrasing, and are ready to be fully expressive on your instrument.
