I am Jordan, a recent graduate of the University of Houston's Honors College. I double-majored in psychology and mathematics and earned a 3.9 GPA. I also received a perfect score on my mathematics field test, a national test that encompasses all 4 years of my mathematics courses in one exam.
I have been teaching private lessons at the primary, secondary, high school, and university levels for 5 years. I teach mathematics (algebra, geometry, and calculus) and other math-related courses (math models). I have a good command of the curricula of credit by exam, AP exams, and state end-of-course exams.
Additionally, I prepare the learning environment by incorporating lots of practice and reteaching concepts in a digestible manner. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn math if they are willing to work hard and be patient with themselves.
As an educational mentor, I approach my students as if they were individual people, valuing uniqueness and inquisitiveness. I have a deep passion for mathematics, problem solving, and people. I am dedicated to helping students because education is a power that no one can take from them. The more people I can inspire to grow their understanding of math and problem solving, the more I know that I am contributing to a greater world.
