I am an enthusiastic graduate from the University of Bath with a 2:1 in Biology. My love for the subject is apparent in my teaching and I hope to inspire and help my students grow in their academia as well as their passion for this exciting science. I aim to build a good rapport with my students to promote open discussions about the subject and identify key areas that may benefit from extra attention in our tutoring sessions. I can readily adapt my teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles, ensuring that lessons are consistently engaging and tailored to each student's unique needs. I will consolidate what they have learnt at school and focus on strengthening areas where they lack understanding or are underconfident. I will not only foster a positive learning environment for my students but will also place a strong emphasis on aligning our sessions with the specific exam board specifications studied in school. This will involve teaching them key terms required to hit the mark scheme as well as developing essential exam technique further enabling them to achieve the best grade possible. I will use textbooks (e.g. cgp revision guides) to aid sessions and stay focused on the syllabus. I will closley monitor the progress of my students with weekly quizzes and keep in regular contact with parents and guardians to discuss this and go over what we are covering each lesson. By the end of this course, my students will not only have a profound understanding of biology but also a deep appreciation for the incredible diversity of life on Earth. They will be equipped to achieve the best grade possible in thier exam, and they'll have the knowledge and skills to pursue further studies in this captivating field.
