I graduated in 2004 from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and since then I have taught in virtually every facet of Drums and Percussion, from private individual drum kit lessons, to being the percussion tutor for The National Children's' wind orchestra, to teaching Rock and Pop workshops to children in Schools across the country for the Lloyds TSB note for note campaign. I have taught drums/percussion all over the UK for the last 14 years, which involves teaching and entering pupils for the Trinity Rock and Pop exams/rock school exams, with a high level of success. I have also previously entered pupils for ABRSM exams too. I am reliable and very organised when it comes to planning and delivering lessons, and I like the pupils that I teach to have fun but also to work hard, both in the lessons and also with regards to regular practice. Each lesson is tailored to the individual pupils needs and interests, and I can also teach popular music and rock songs to students that do not wish to learn to read music or do Graded examinations. The emphasis is on having fun and progressing each week, with realistic goals tailored to the individual. I am also able to use and provide the latest technology, including theRC505 loop station for composition and creative exercises during the lessons.
