This course aims to develop grammatical and spelling skills, text analysis and reading comprehension. It is a flexible course that reflects the interests and concerns of the students. It combines an understanding of the ways in which formal elements are used to create meaning with an exploration of how that meaning is affected by culturally defined reading habits and the circumstances in which production and reception take place.
