Intent of course is the development of piano proficiency skills. Focus given to basic keyboard technique, score reading and performance, sight-reading, harmonization, accompanying, and transposition. We shall be learning about different musical instruments that you may wish to study. Gain experience practicing a new instrument (the soprano recorder). Learn basic music literacy skills. This class is intended for students ages 6–8 who are interested in studying a musical instrument, but who wish to learn more before making the commitment to private instrument lessons.
