Nice to meet you. My name is Gabi, and I am currently phD student in the Department of Sociology at Nagoya University in Japan. I am a Japanese government scholarship recipient and currently residing in Japan.
I have worked for nine years as a video translator and interview interpreter for a broadcasting station, and I have experience as an interpreter at international film festivals and exhibitions. I am capable of teaching classes in Japanese (C2), English (B2), and Spanish (B1). In particular, I am giving a lecture at universities and supervising undergraduate thesis writing, so I am also capable of providing academic guidance.
For the past 3 years, I have been teaching Korean to many foreigners.
I prepare teaching materials tailored to the individual needs of my students. We can engage in deep discussions on a variety of social topics and enjoy Korean cultural content together. Some of my students have even had conversations in Korean via video calls or live streams with their favorite idols (including BTS's Jungkook, Seventeen's Jeonghan, and Wonwoo). I also have several students who have passed the TOPIK exam.
🔅In particular, my debate classes are very unique. We watch a video beforehand, study the expressions used in it during class, and then have a debate on the topic. Many of my students are highly satisfied with these classes!!
