Learning an instrument is meaningful for any aged student, whether wanting to progress seriously or to learn for enjoyment. I have all the skills to help you learn from beginner to advanced musician on cello, and for nurturing beginner to intermediate piano students. I have a Masters from the Royal Academy of Music on cello, with an LRAM instrumental teaching certificate, a bachelor Music degree from King's College London and an ABRSM performance diploma in piano. With over 15 years of experience teaching cello and piano in a range of settings from primary, secondary and prep schools, to music centres, private tuition and online, and having taught pupils from the ages of 5 to 65, I can find the strengths of a pupil, and improve any weaknesses, in technique, rhythm or intonation, and opening up the ability for expression and musicality. Using ABRSM grades as milestones, I cover all aspects of developing musicianship, as well as establishing and improving technique on the instrument. I am an experienced regularly performing professional cellist myself, and have many skills to support your learning and development as a musican, whatever your aims. I have a great rapport with my students, and love to see them progress and gain new skills and enjoyment as they learn.
