I will instruct students in the fundamental principles of free counterpoint—composition with melodic lines—with an emphasis on two-part writing and imitative counterpoint, based on my former Berklee College of Music training (alumni). We will apply the fundamental principles in practice and also examine the respective literature.

I will instruct students in the ins and outs of Music Theory and Composition, based on my former Berklee College of Music training (alumni). We will apply the principles we learn concerning melody, harmony, and rhythm in our own compositions, after also having delved into the relevant literature examples.

We will explore the development of Western European music from Antiquity to Modernity, based on my former Berklee College of Music training (alumni). Antiquity,Middle Ages,Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, romantic, and 20th century ; music spanning all these periods will be explored in depth.

We will explore the art of Songwriting, tailor-made to the student's needs and requirements. From commercial Songwriting to Songwriting for film and TV, we can develop the tools needed to create memorable melodies, harmonies and lyrics that stand the test of time.
