The class will be entirely tailored made to your child. The main aim is to quickly identify both weaknesses and strengths in you your child's learning. The aim is to fill in gaps and build a strong foundation in either maths or English. Teaching strong numeracy skills which can be applied throughout all maths topics including developing the ability to problem solve. Within English ensuring your child has a greater understanding of grammar, spelling, reading and writing. An emphasis on improving vocabulary and writing techniques to improve their confidence in writing using different genres. Reading will focus of understanding and reading strategies to decode text in a number of ways. Introducing your child to quality and exciting books to develop a life long love for reading. Improving spelling by looking at different spelling strategies and generally enhancing your child's vocabulary. With over 25 years teaching experience in primary education I will be able to not only identify difficulties your child is having but boost their grades, and most importantly their confidence in their ability.
