I have five years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I have created a teaching method for online courses. The course includes: -The material (articles, videos, exercises from images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises...). I use Google Doc so it's best to have a Gmail address to access it. -The correction of exercises outside of class (the written expressions are corrected outside of class, or with the student, according to his needs). -Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone. -A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar / conjugation, sent after each course. -If necessary, a vocabulary recording (for beginners). -The realization of online exercises and tests from the sent vocabulary sheets. -Motivation, laughter, good mood :-) My method: - It's based on speaking. -For grammar I use a question/answer method (learned during the training at the CERAN center). -We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises for setting your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-) -Everything goes through the spoken word before the written word, but I clearly adapt to the needs of the students. -The course is a little different for children and adolescents: I use interactive games and cards via webcam. I worked in a language school and at universities, and I suppose I gained success. 😀 I have been teaching Turkish professionally for 14 years. I also taught Turkish for 4 years when I was a university student. I learned Ottoman Turkish at the university, so I'm familiar with Persian and Arabic vocabulary. I also studied Persian, German, and Italian grammar. I completed my master's degree in Ottoman history and spent a semester as an Erasmus student at the Turkish Studies Department of Leiden University. I am interested in literature, cinema and TV series (nowadays Korean). I write books and movie analyses in my spare time. Me as a Teacher: I hold firm to two main principles: providing a comfortable environment and creating an encouraging atmosphere. My students always tell me that I am patient, positive and well-organized. I consider I developed an aptitude for making learning Turkish much easier, more efficient and more practical. My lessons & teaching style: Even though I use a communicative approach, my lessons are supported by a solid knowledge of grammar because Turkish has a very different structure. I use a book set that Istanbul University prepares. The course book is structured with a strategic approach to learning Turkish by using all the language skills: reading, grammar, writing, listening, watching, and speaking from A1 to C2. All these skills are essential for conversation. The workbook includes many exercises for homework or revision. I support the book with my authentic materials. I use a board that you can see anytime, and you can edit it, too. Repetition-based speaking practice plays an important role in my lessons. I will share all the materials (books, audio, videos, authentic materials) with you according to your level. Important note: In group lessons, for example, to complete level A1, you need to have approximately 120-150 hours of lessons. This lesson time varies depending on the number of people in the group. There are 5 levels in total in Turkish: A1-A2 level (basic), B1-B2 level (intermediate), C1+ (advanced). You could complete all levels 2.5 times faster by having private lessons compared to group lessons. I would recommend completing the A1 level in about 3 months. Since there are 5 levels, you will need approximately 15 months. I am explaining all of this to show you your learning plan. Of course, this plan may vary depending on your capacity, speed and how many hours of lessons you have per week. No matter what level you're at! Are you ready to start speaking? :)

I am following a class with Başak to learn turkish. The lessons are held in english. This course covers pronunciation, grammar and free speaking which are also adapted to daily life situations as well as speaking about yourself. I have experienced a very well organized and structured teacher on a professional basis. The teacher gives clear instructions, pays attention to the pronunciation and corrects you when needed, which is crucial for the turkish pronunciation. The course fees contain the tuition as booked and course material as the class is accompanied by a book (workbook and exercise book) and audio files. The books are sent to you in advance, makes it very convenient to take a print out or as a digital version on your tablet/PC/phone. Between the lessons homework will be assigned and checked by her via mail and discussed in the next lesson. So far, I am very happy with the lessons and I am also confident that I will improve my turkish steadily in the future with her. Thanks

I've had different Spanish teachers but Tanya is by far the best for several reasons: - Tanya makes a personal plan together with me which fits perfectly with my learning goals. So no unnecessary grammar but only things whichs helps me with my reason why I approached her - She developed her own personal learning style which helps me making huge steps in a short time - Tanya shows she's well prepared and the work we do and the homework I get is always in extend of the things I want to learn - Besides that she's always happy and a nice person to chat with Quick sumarry: if you want to learn Spanish in a good/fast way with a teacher who is always happy, I would highly recommend Tanya :)

Very satisfied with one week sustained session on Japanese essentials with Chihi san. Contents are spot on, method is very adaptable. I felt both challenged, enabled and wishing for more. Just great: I recommend her completely: She tuned in very naturally to my constraints and my learning style, giving me content and foundation I can use immediately, and going the extra mile with research on many small questions I raised all along the way or in between. Planning was also very smooth: She was organised and at the same time very flexible to meet my needs on timing, location , contents etc. I won’t need to look elsewhere on my next learning sessions.
