Trusted teacher: The world of rhythm and drums from around the world attracts you... you are a novice or want to improve your skills, you are looking for workshops in private lessons or in groups,... Welcome! Multi-percussionist on stage and in the studio, experienced teacher and performing artist for over 25 years, I offer introductory, development and advanced modules in world percussion, for all audiences. (individual, group and internship courses) The educational objective is based initially on the acquisition of general notions in rhythmic solfege, various instrumental techniques and a repertoire of rhythmic-melodic vocabulary, subsequently supplemented by the exploration of polyrhythm and improvisation. By listening to and reproducing more or less long and complex rhythmic patterns and cells, it will be a question of acquiring all-terrain bases, of recognizing and refining one's own playing dynamics, of understanding the principle of orchestration and of opening oneself to the incredible experience of trance. Percussion lessons always involve several instruments and levels: For all levels: congas, bongos, bata drums, cajon, bendir and tär (frame drums), djembe, dundun, drums and minor percussion (accessories: shaker, triangle, karkabou... And also for novices & intermediates: Indian tablas Point essentially addressed for a musical and psycho-sensory immersion work: the roles of rhythmic instruments in contemporary, ethnic and scholarly music, and the metrics of each musical current. the strokes specific to each instrument and a playful rhythmic solfeggio (visualization, learning and interpretation of rhythmic sequences by writing and / or voicing) the poly-rythmie around current musics and world music (African, Caribbean, Indian and oriental traditions): simultaneous combination of rhythmic cells, sometimes of different size, to form a rich, well-rounded and harmonious phrase. groove and inner pulsation (or inner partition) guided improvisation and discovery of one's own interpretive fiber. orchestration or arrangement of instrument families in an orchestra. the song and the breath, the setting in voice and in space of the rhythm, to refine the sensory language of an adequate dynamic gesture. I provide on request personal work media (CDs, scores, videos). Apart from stage music, I also work for live shows (storytelling, theater, circus, pantomime, contemporary dance ...), documentary film and audio-visual. I frequently intervene in musical awakening for early and middle childhood (maternity hospitals, schools, leisure centers) and also in specialized settings (day hospitals, IME) and at home, as part of mediation actions in art. therapy. Hoping to share with you my passion for teaching and the melody of rhythm. Stéphane Musically !

Trusted teacher: Experimentation is an inherent characteristic of electronic music. Nowadays, composing music using technology creates endless creative possibilities that demand the musician/composer to adapt to numerous technical and artistic challenges. Do you like experimenting with sound and making music that does not clearly belong to a particular genre or style? Interested in bringing a fresh perspective and out-of-the-box thinking to your music production? Are you just starting out in electronic music composition and wondering how to develop your own style? This course is just what you need. In this class, you will learn: - how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques. - how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music. - how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques. - how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition. - about the theory and practice of free improvisation. - about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today. - how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice. - how to create an artistic portfolio. Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.). The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals. Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

Trusted teacher: Hello ! I'm Etienne, I'm a professional electronic music producer and guitarist. I have been practicing MAO (computer-assisted music) for more than ten years, notably within a Techno music group in which I was able to train in sound engineering with a qualified engineer. of INFA. I was also able to perfect my approach to composition by training with a teacher at the American School of modern music Paris. I'm part of a Techno duo Sana + Nasa (more recently renamed "AZA:ZEL"). We are in the artist catalog of the booking agency La Quarantaine, our music has been published on labels such as SCTR, Carcères Records, Jaelos and Afterhours and we have had the privilege of playing several times in Paris, Berlin and Zagreb. I also had the opportunity to do podcasts on The Techno Children and Eletronic Subculture and finally on television on Clubbing TV (international broadcast) I started teaching music (electronic music and guitar) in 2019 and I regularly give lessons to around ten students, both girls and boys! Everything can take place in my studio as if by video. I give lessons for both advanced level students and beginners who have no experience. I currently have a Techno project, a beatmaking project (selling pop, rap and electro instrumentals) and I am also part of a metal band... which means that I teach several styles of music ! Together we will be able to discover: - composition (arrangement) - Mixing and mastering - DJing I can also advise you on the equipment you will need (a computer and a good headset are more than enough at the start) and I will help you install everything you need, free installation ;) There are 1000 training courses on YouTube, the only problem is that there is food and drink, a lot of training provided and not always in the right order. I first started learning computer music on my own and it was a long process! Especially because I had to unlearn a lot of things. As a teacher, I will be able to support you in your learning and guide it so that you can ingest the right information in the right order and ensure that you have understood it perfectly. In short, I will save you a lot of time, time which can be counted in years of learning. One of my students started with me 5 months ago, he started with almost no knowledge of computer music, today he plays regularly for Darude and his latest creation will be released on a label. I'm not going to lie to you, he worked a lot to get there, but what he achieved took me years to do and it very probably couldn't have been done without training. With a little work and rigor you could be the next to achieve this feat! If you have any questions about the course, do not hesitate to send me a message. See you soon, I hope, Stephen

Experimental electronic music composition / Free improvisation (theory & practice) (Rotterdam)
Yannis
We just have started to work with Yannis, but I am really happy about how we progress and feel inspired and looking forward to future lectures. Yannis teaches me to develop a vision on how to approach working with sound, while recording, processing and using it in electronic composition. I would say he is opening my mind in a way toward the analysing a character of sound as a compositional element. I like that lessons are not only just about a particular technique (and there are so many to learn from Yannis), but about developing a workflow and a mindset. Examples from historical electronic pieces to listen and analyse from legendary electroacoustic composers are really inspirational. After each lesson there is a home task and in the following lecture there is an analysis of the results and based on that Yannis gives lessons on what needs to be changed, improved, pay attention to etc, in order to develop compositional skills. I highly recommend Yannis as a teacher, if you are into modern experimental electroacoustic composition and improvisation.

Niki
I had a great first lesson using Ableton! Niki spent time helping me with my equipment set-up and also went through some of the settings with me. He explained things very clearly, answered my questions and showed me some of the basic things necessary to find my way as a beginner using Ableton. I now have a few things to try out and I'm excited to start experimenting and seeing what I can record. Thanks Niki!

Riza
This was my first time taking music production lessons, and Riza goes through the basic fundamentals of the software and music-making process. He adapts to your level and the difficulties you encounter. He gives you feedback on what to adjust and correct, as well as giving examples. I would definitely recommend him for anyone wanting to try electronic music-making.
